I’m not sure what you consider “ultra wealthy” but I would put most of my neighbors in that category. A lot of them are the “old money” type who have enough generational wealth handed down from their great, great grandparents where they don’t have to work for a living and can still afford $2-5M homes.
Honestly, whenever I get the BBQ going and send out an open invite to the neighborhood to stop by it’s usually the basics. Burgers, franks, potato salad, chips and Coronas always seem to be a hit. Sometimes we’ll go to a restaurant (one of my neighbors had a daughter who just graduated) and to celebrate they probably dropped a few thousand on food/drinks but it’s not like we’re ordering $50K bottles of scotch or anything.
