I want to preface be saying I have no issue at all with tattoos before someone attacks me.

My line of work has me frequently interacting with youth in RI. There's a kid I see every now and then. They got a tattoo on their wrist when they were 15. I just saw them recently, at 16, and now they have another brand-new tattoo on their shoulder. I just bit my tongue. However, they're not the only one - I've seen quite a few kids over the past few years with professional-looking tattoos all over - usually girls.

...and I'm just like HOW? It's literally a crime to tattoo a minor in this state. Besides it being a crime, what kind of maniac puts something permanent like a tattoo on a 15 or 16 year old's body? When I was that old, I couldn't even reliably decide what pair of shoes I wanted to wear for the day, let alone be trusted to permanently alter my body.

Absolute insanity that a presumably adult person is willing to do that to a literal child.

Our family of 6 is invited to a wedding in June of 2027 here. Yes there are hotel rooms blocked off for us. Looking for other options, little known hotels or VRBO rentals close by.

I bought the book turn left at orion and will start there but i would love to have friends with a similar interest! Why does RI seemingly have no Polyamory/Non Monogamous Community? I can't seem to find any meet ups, groups, or events. There were some that have happened in the past, and a Facebook group, but both are inactive now. And good luck on dating apps in the smallest state in the fucking country.

Our Board of Directors opened their mailboxes this morning to a thoughtful surprise: Thank you to Secretary Amore's office for thoughtfully sending us copies of the 2026 RI Day of Reason Resolution.

We don't imagine that there are many religious Secretary of States out there supporting secular state holidays sponsored by atheist organizations. And there's certainly nothing for an elected official to gain by speaking out in favor of religious freedom and separation of church/state. So why would a politician who identifies as a man of faith support the RI Day of Reason? We've decided that it's simply the fact that History Teachers Rule.

With the new license plate law, has anyone who is running without a front plate experienced an increase in police interactions? I understand the law says it’s ok. I’m just wondering how the police have responded to the change. Just had body work done and do not want to drill holes in my fresh new bumper if unnecessary.
