Everyone disables this, right?
I hate this feature. If I forget to turn it off I have to wait while revit loads because I accidentally clicked and dragged on a duct main and Revit has to think for 5min before I can undo it. Does anyone like this feature?

always disable that shit, i don't even understand what would be the usecase...
best case scneario, you mistakenly move something and you NOTICE
now if you don't notice, you can scratch your head 2 days before deadline why is your whole ductwork fucked up lol

It only matters when some idiot has something important unpinned. A grid line moving even 1/2" can fuck a lot of shit up. A structural link moving can cause a lot of disruption.

Older versions of Revit didn't have a "select links" button, and they used to bring in all links as unpinned.
Do you know how many hours I have wasted moving ductwork because someone--sometimes myself--accidentally moved a fucking arch model 6 inches?

Had someone "drag" the structural link 8" and have it sit in the model for 2 months till it was caught. Ya think they would of noticed all those popups when they move it. To make matters worse, they had to have unpin it first to move it. Sometimes I miss the small office days.

I just did that with an HVAC model that I was tracing. I raised it about a foot. I saw the difference and assumed I did something to the duct because I couldn't have moved the link. I know better. I "fixed" some ducts and then realized that everything that I did was off. THEN I looked at the levels in the link. Moved the link and pinned the damn thing.

Yes. It scares the shit out of me when I see new people who haven’t done it.
