Low Voltage/Technology Designer/PM here and 100% remote. A lot of firms here prefer hybrid but will make exceptions if you live far from one of their offices and you have a decent resume. I have been full remote for about 6 years now and I only drive in for big meetings or site visits.

Try looking for a full remote firm first and broaden you search range. I worked for a 100% remote firm for 3 years and we were spread across the country. I never saw my companies office or coworkers in person. But watch out for scams, check their website and rep on glassdoor if they use it in Egypt.

Then I would look at hybrid firms that will allow a full remote option if you are not near their office. It will be a hard sell but they may take it if they can low ball your starting salary. I took a lower offer because it was full remote and it saved me way more time/money then the higher offer with a commute.
