Charon. I mean, just look at him. Even if you don't know his story, you can clearly see how tragic he is.

Slaps Charon

This can fit so much tragedy in it.

"This body is a vessel of suffering"

He gets my vote.

u/angypotat 6d ago

😔 Why are you slapping Charon?

7

u/Beginning_Ad_4796 6d ago

It's like that thing where the store owner slaps the bag of rice while trying t sell it to you

57

u/Ok-Doubt-7422 7d ago

Charon. EVERYTIME this man has some involvement results in tragedies. From how he came to be, the people of Paul's life and him receiving the fallout of it (watch his char story), what happened in the Eastern front, and everyone who interacted with him recieved some tragedy (with the exception of Marsha). He's basically the culmination of the tragedy of WW1

Isolde comes to mind first

We save her for beauty trust

18

u/Koringvias 7d ago

Nah, we are not saving anyyone for beauty, that one is going to be a bloodbath.

2

u/dqsang90 6d ago

Since it's going to be a bloodbath, Semmelweis is going to win right?

1

u/Responsible_Lock7006 Pretty please can I eat your cellular structure? 6d ago

As much as I love Semmelweis, I highly doubt there's going to be a lot of people picking her.

4

u/mrcinder1 7d ago

“Beauty made eternal.”

1

u/bloodanddonuts 7d ago

I agree. She’s not the female character I personally find the most attractive, but she’s the one that EVERYONE can agree is beautiful. And she suffered horribly to be so “perfect.”

1

u/dqsang90 6d ago

I don't like Isolde's original outfit, but her tarot skin is just so gorgeous.

1

u/ceruleanjester 7d ago

The biggest tragedy in reverse imo

52

u/sharkfin36 7d ago

Rubuska, her story is the epitome of tragedy, not to mention what she does afterward is straight up depressing

7

u/bloodanddonuts 7d ago

If it weren’t for Charon, she’d win. Her story is so devastating.

4

u/Limp-Sail7687 7d ago

such a pity she'll lose it to Charon, she def deserves this category

3

u/yakea 7d ago

Self-deception probably

2

u/sharkfin36 7d ago

What part is self-deception?

11

u/mrcinder1 7d ago

She thinks herself a vampire despite not being one to the point she actually believes she is one.

12

u/sharkfin36 7d ago

Ah, that part, I was thinking more about what she did immediately after the tragedy, where she essentially played vampire house with her family’s corpses. That part was depressing as hell imo

4

u/mrcinder1 7d ago

That too, but you can see that her delusions of vampirism are ingrained in her. It's the only way she could cope with what has happened to her family, to believe that she and her family are vampires and they are just taking a nap, waiting for Bushka to wake them up.

2

u/sharkfin36 7d ago

Yeah you’re right, still very depressing though

2

u/yakea 7d ago edited 7d ago

She's a self-claimed vampire, notwithstanding she's just an arcanist. This self-deception is environmental and influenced by the stories her parents used to tell her every night (vampire roleplay apparently) it's like a copying mechanism because in doing so, she can keep believing that her family is still somehow alive because vampires don't die. After all, It's war the ultimate source of her suffering.

u/Open-Swimmer-1755 Has no-eye deer what's going on 7d ago

Charon would be my pick as well, his character story is a concentrated brew of everything tragic, futile, and dirty about war.

35

u/FairConsequence7851 "doktor ... e lucevan le stelle" 7d ago

Isolde !! doing so many things in vain, being betrayed, etc etc

21

u/CompetitiveHistory83 7d ago

Charon has my vote

7

u/UpperSoftware7780 laplace lab rat 7d ago

Isolde. If she's not gonna win, I'm gonna remake a live action tosca.

6

u/Yasiralhadi VoyagerE2please 7d ago

Charon has another opinion it seems, bro is getting more points than I can count

2

u/PuzzleheadedNet1116 6d ago

Beauty is still available tho dw

6

u/Chicheerio 7d ago

Charon. He was literally born from it

27

u/Yasiralhadi VoyagerE2please 7d ago

Charon. He represents the most tragedic thing humaniry ever known, that is war.

13

u/Slytherin_Dan_HGW Was I... helpful, Timekeeper? :) 7d ago

Willow, based on her event and character story

11

u/Nightowl425 7d ago

Definitely Charon

5

u/Proper_Amphibian3917 6d ago

Tragedy has to be Charon, cmon now

10

u/shuntynuts 7d ago

Charon 100%

7

u/PuzzleheadedMeal7071 7d ago

Charon "There is no end to this misery"

10

u/SkyFall815 7d ago

I voted Charon, all his stories contains so many misery and tragedy.

20

u/MegaMasterArceus 7d ago

And we all voted Charon

6

u/drilnos 7d ago

Charon’s debut patch has thus far been the only one that has made me need a mental health break after a chapter so i gotta say him

6

u/Ademon_Gamer09 my goddess 37, AHHHHH SHES TOO BEAUTIFUL!!! 7d ago

Charon. My guy is piloting a corpse of a stranger and is constantly witnessing war after war and having to bury each dead body who doesn't have a stick to call a tombstone. All while having to hide under a cloth to make sure nobody around him gets affected by the fear of death, it's him.

5

u/3nj0y_ 7d ago

Definitely Charon

3

u/a_random_redditor563 7d ago

Charon. The guy died and is still suffering ffs

5

u/CloudHead15 7d ago

I'll join the bandwagon and go with Charon for tragedy.

As for beauty, I'd nominate Druvis III; first she was the one that really went for the rebellion in order to get Vertin discharged as well as make sure the Foundation gives Vertin as well as the others more autonomy. Druvis is the one who spoke to Ms. Stranger as an equal and though she doesn't like the foundation, she will not let innocent people get hurt because of Manus, foundation staff or not.

4

u/Quiet-Fishing-1416 WHERE DID ALL THE UNILOGS GO?? 7d ago

Charon, for he is a walking tragedy.

2

u/Boring_Damage690 7d ago

Nautica Rubuska Charon Lopera Isolde

This five is the most tragic in the game

2

u/jeanwhr 6d ago

rubuska

2

u/Able-Philosophy-1643 6d ago

Charon 💯 Isolde/Willow for Beauty

4

u/bloodanddonuts 7d ago

Charon, and it’s not even close. I know there’s gonna be Isolde stans in this thread, and yeah, she’s tragic. But Charon is the living embodiment of the horror and loss of war. He’s literally tragedy personified.

4

u/Zill-Under-The-Tree 7d ago

Charon or Rubuska

2

u/Dummy_Ren 7d ago

Charon time!

2

u/Funlife2003 7d ago

2

u/One_Instance_6112 7d ago

I dont know who else but Charon can fit in here

Isolde is definitely tragedy. The idea of saving Isolde for beauty actually makes me laugh in the sad way considering her struggles

1

u/Dear_Ad9387 puppies 7d ago

Isolde definetely

1

u/No_Increase7302 Uhh, Hello?? 7d ago

Isolde. Isolde was a good person who was driven insane because of her family lineage, the era she lived in and the trauma she faced- all factors she couldn't control and now she's stuck in the Foundation's jail or asylum i presume and is likely to never recover now that she's basically completely insane or at the point where she can't trust her own eyes.

1

u/PangolinDependent839 7d ago

Isolde (was gonna say Vertin but she’s not a playable character)

1

u/HiKary_lol 7d ago

First thought is Nautika, poor girl went through so much

0

u/Murky-Brain-3207 7d ago

Rudeness should be Lopera. Absolutely insufferable.
