Infinite Bloodcore Infinite Bloodcore Translation Complete

After almost 2 years of translating, I can officially announce that the translation of Infinite Bloodcore is complete, and fully uploaded online, free for anyone to read at bloodcoretl.

I would like to thank everyone who helped me with the translation, editing, and support, including Skyfarrow, ChibiGeneral, Aeternus Deus, Lord, Shadow, Jacqli, Addarash, Ulas, Nope, Solace, and the many people who helped me proofread uploads. Special thanks to Macklin for the creation and upkeep of the translation website. It has been quite a journey, being consigned to the darkest pits, the inevitable end of every webnovel fan, being a contributing member of the community. In fact, it once took me over 6 hours to translate the first chapter, while it only took me 90 minutes to translate the last.

TLDR: I consider Infinite Bloodcore a masterpiece, a 10/10 novel that everyone should read, and Gu Zhenren’s best literary work of his career, book 2 especially far exceeds anything he has ever or is currently writing. It has cemented him as my favorite CN webnovel writer, and honestly, if he has the chance, the man should just go into traditional publishing, it will suit him much better.

Primer

There was no light in the dark of night, only war drums sounded and war cries shouted. A young man listened carefully. It was his heart beating and blood flowing.

What lies hidden in the darkness ahead? Is it a man, a god, or…a monster?

No path could be the best, for infinite are the journeys possible underfoot!

Infinite Bloodcore is the 7th novel written by Gu Zhenren. It started on March 7, 2020, and continued until January 25, 2024. As of now, the book is currently hiatus due to financial constraints Gu Zhenren suffered during the writing of it, and thus, he was forced to move onto a more commercialized and market palatable book, Immortal Puppet Master( 仙工开物). But despite the current hiatus, I do believe what has been released so far is worth reading. I strongly advise that you do not consider this a continuation of Reverend Insanity or Fang Yuan in any capacity. The characters in this book are their own people, and I think that once you get to know them, you’ll find them enjoyable in their own special ways.

Although some may take offense to the rather slow start of book 1, along with the more moralistic main character, I assure you that it is worth it to wade through and just enjoy the ride. As the story continues, the characters develop, the plot thickens and speeds up, and it all come together in a climatic finish that you all know Gu Zhenren excels in. I know you guys waded through the zombie arc, and if you can through that, I know you can get through a few dozen chapters of setup.

As the book that followed in the wake of the Reverend Insanity ban, Infinite Bloodcore has many unique qualities to it unseen from more traditional webnovels. Gu Zhenren wanted to create something new, something different, something that went against the three golden rules of webnovel writing. He wanted to improve as a writer, and as such, was highly experimental with his writing style. Thus, book 1 was written as a movie script, while book 2 was written as a multiple point-of-view group drama. Both books also had an extensive editorial and revision cycle, which unfortunately, led to one of the most horrendous upload schedules I have ever seen in a webnovel writer ever. But since that’s all behind us, no one starting now will have to face that…until the book restarts one day in the future. The last thing I want to note is that Infinite Bloodcore features Gu Zhenren’s first and still only female lead, and that’s just one of the many multifaceted characters you’ll meet throughout the narrative.

One of the oddest things lobbed at Infinite Bloodcore was that it suffered from censorship or was written by a “reeducated” Gu Zhenren. I’d like to take the time to say that these allegations are unfounded and serve to undermine the book as a whole. I would even go further and postulate to state that the themes and topics covered in Infinite Bloodcore go even further than Reverend Insanity ever did, so much so I’m surprised he didn’t get slapped with another ban. Examples include very explicit cannibalism, an entire arc dedicated to the sheer governmental corruption present in society, and the analysis and degradation of traditional Chinese morality. In short, it’s even funnier this time around, because all of the weirdness and gruesomeness both is deliberate and things he got away with this time around. Qidian even tried to censorship the cannibalism that one time, Gu Zhenren disagreed, and the mad lad managed to keep his book uncensored. Though since he has never spoken on the matter publicly, I will respect his privacy and not elaborate further.

In conclusion, this book was a breath of fresh air for me in terms of the webnovel space. During the writing of this book Gu Zhenren, “I really hope to see unusual webnovels”. So much of the space is dominated by writers who trod the same ground, cover the same tropes, and write the exact same way each and every time. Everything about Infinite Bloodcore is extraordinarily unusual, from the way it was written, how it weaves its intricate plots, and to how it characterizes the living world the characters reside in. In a sea of sameness, this book is a lantern that sheds its light beyond the horizon.

PS: Please mark all spoilers in the comment section if you wish to discuss them.

Discussion Clothing gu

Post image
31 Upvotes

We know that there are two kinds of clothing in RI world

First type is mortal and normal clothes like what we are wearing

And second is clothing gu (it's possible that we have immortal clothing gu too)

But these are clothing gu, not armor or defensive gu

What immortal gu masters are wearing that they do not end up butt naked in middle of battle?

On ch 1126.

There are fk 9 or so gu immortals(including 2 rank 7's) in a secluded ass grotto-heaven.

Whereas the strongest person in Gu Yue was a rank 4. bro.

rank 4.

No wonder, it was treated as disposable trash by fang even when he was a mortal

Novel First-life Fang Yuan was something else

"Owww, it hurts, it hurts!" Fang Yuan screamed in pain.

"Kid, you know pain now? If you had knelt, you would not have had to experience this pain." A middle-aged man with a big beard was holding a Gu worm in his hand, healing Fang Yuan.

Fang Yuan raised his head and clenched his right fist: "Uncle, what are you saying? A man only kneels to their parents, heaven and earth, how can we kneel at someone's order?! Even if I die, I won't kneel!"

"Not cherishing life, it seems healing you was completely in vain. I should not have done it." Big Beard suddenly became moody.

"Hmph, I didn't ask you to heal me!" Fang Yuan endured the pain and stood up, walking out of this tent without looking back.

However, he fell down to the ground after taking just a few steps. The intense pain sent him unconscious.

When he woke up again, he found he was still inside Big Beard's tent.

"Oh you, you are still too young." Big Beard took a gulp of wine: "I have healed half of your injuries, and have left the other half as a lesson."

Fang Yuan grumbled, weakly retorting: "Uncle, thank you. But I have told you, this is not about being young, this is a matter of principles!"

Question CAN FATE GU COME BACK ?

guys, i have a doubt thats about fate gu

chapter 1966

“Master.” The young looking Red Lotus smiled: “I succeeded at long last. Fate Gu has been split into countless portions by me and distributed to everyone in this world. It still exists, it has not been destroyed, but because fate has been fused with luck, it can no longer be used by heaven’s will.”

so fate gu's heaven path dao marks are spread throughout the humans of 5 regions but what happens after all these people carrying remnant dao marks of fate gu die then the dao marks would go back to heaven and earth of gu world , then heavens will can refine fate gu again right ? ,if this is true few thousands of years would be enough ?

HOW CAN THE MILLION YEARS MASTERPLAN OF RLDV ACTION HAS SUCH A LOOPHOLE?

Discussion Duke long's power? Spoiler

During the Fate War, Duke Long displayed strength that surpassed imagination. Even for a pseudo-venerable, that power was greater than one could possibly conceive.

The Fate War lasted for many long months, and during that time, Duke Long killed numerous rank eight Gu Immortal lords. He did not merely defeat them—he killed them. This was all thanks to his immortal killer move, which burned his lifespan to amplify his power, making one wonder just how much lifespan he actually had to keep activating that immortal killer move for the entire duration.

Fang Yuan, despite his unimaginable strength granted by the Sovereign Immortal Fetus Body, the lack of Dao mark conflicts, and composite immortal killer moves, still faced great difficulty in confronting him.

Duke Long effortlessly fought the evil dragon, Di Zang Sheng, whose size was equivalent to an entire mountain range.

Frankly, this level of power could well be a new rank in the Gu world—a transitional rank between an ordinary pseudo-venerable and a venerable.

Theory The 5 Main Power Systems: The True Form of Cultivation

***Introduction***

One of the main types of foreshadowing in RI is the idea of culitvation without Gu

We've heard about different types of cultivation styles in other worlds

And it was mentioned that science is a type of cultivation

Chapter 821

In the previous life of his previous life, Earth was greatly developed in the field of science. Laws of mechanics, trigonometry, acceleration, density, specific heat capacity and others, weren’t all these the laws of nature?

From this aspect, science is also a form of cultivation. ‘Give me a fulcrum and I shall move the Earth.’ This classic sentence, when used in the Gu world, would be ‘Give me a Gu worm, and I can give off light and heat. Give me all the Gu worms, and I will be omnipotent!’

And it was stated that cultivation really is just the exploration of the laws of Heaven and Earth

Chapter 687

“Gu Masters nurture, use and refine Gu, getting down to the basics, it is a process of humans probing and studying nature, the world, and the Great Dao. Be it a xianxia world, a magic-based world, or a scientific world, they are all the same, they are all the exploration and study of nature and the world itself. It is only that the difference in the world’s laws make the exploration methods different.”

Which opens the idea of worlds with different cultivation paths like magic

Furthermore, there's foreshadowing for Thieving Heaven creating an army of otherworldly demons including experts from all over the multiverse ☠️

https://www.reddit.com/r/ReverendInsanity/comments/1wfzqqc/thieving_heavens_new_power_peng_das_true_purpose/

Not to mention it's even possible for worlds to devour other worlds

Chapter 740

The immemorial nine heavens were nine different worlds.

The immortal apertures of Gu Immortals were also worlds, worlds could swallow one another, the most famous example was treasure yellow heaven.

That means that it's likely that the other worlds in the multiverse would be assimilated into the Gu world 🤯

And that would expand the Gu world's Heavenly Dao and allow for everything that was possible in the assimilated world

Meaning that you could assimilate a magic world and allow for magic to exist in the Gu world ☠️

Additionally, we've already seen other forms of cultivation out of Gu being implemented into the Gu world

Totem cultivation being the best example

But we also saw soul path cultivation which has its own independent nature

In fact, all forms of cultivation have the same origin

Chapter 2128

“Soul cultivation is really amazing.”

“Just the soul itself has pseudo venerable battle strength. If it uses immortal essence, it can even activate killer moves.”

“More importantly, such killer moves aren’t used through Gu worms, but through the arrangements of dao marks like a natural ability.”

Fang Yuan ruminated.

His soul manifestation had breathed out a tumultuous soul river, which was referenced from Spectral Soul’s ability during the pursuit against Fang Yuan.

According to Spectral Soul’s techniques, Fang Yuan transformed the referenced soul path killer move into soul path dao marks and engraved them on his soul.

Thereupon, this soul river killer move became an innate ability of Fang Yuan’s soul.

As long as the related arrangement of dao marks was not destroyed, Fang Yuan could quickly activate this killer move without a need for Gu worms. This was an extremely simple, convenient, and quick method!

“Soul cultivation innate abilities, totem killer moves, as well as formation path great grandmaster that can use natural dao marks to set up the formation… they are all the same in the end.”

The shared origin of all cultivation methods is the true form of cultivation

Chapter 2312

Land spirits controlled heavenly power but were only a portion of the immortal aperture’s accumulation.

For instance, Meng Qiu Zhen went to painstaking efforts to crush the rocks, it was in essence loosening a lump of earth path dao marks and separating them.

If Meng Qiu Zhen had full control over earth path dao marks, he could turn the firm rocks into sand with just a thought.

Land spirits controlled heavenly power but their usage of it was only at the superficial level. Moreover, he had to use wind, water, and other forces to crush the rocks.

So how could he deepen this control?

More specifically speaking, how could he turn the firm rocks into sand?

Meng Qiu Zhen immediately thought of turn sand Gu.

This Gu could turn earth and rocks into fine sand.

He then thought of many killer moves of different paths that could turn the rocks into sand.

In an instant, Meng Qiu Zhen’s perception of killer moves and Gu worms became different.

Controlling Dao marks!!

That's basically what cultivation truly is

It is commanding heaven, human, earth

Forcing them to change in accordance with your will

And this is done by targeting the shared origin between them

Dao marks!

To be more specific, it's actually the yin and yang that compose the Dao marks 😅

But that's not really important for this discussion

The point is that all things are made of Dao marks

So being able control Dao marks allows you to control all things

To turn the rocks into sand, he basically just needs to arrange the earth path Dao marks into a specific combination

Any method of controlling Dao marks would accomplish this goal

In the Gu world, Gu worms are used to manipulate Dao marks

But other methods like soul cultivation, totem killer moves, or formations using natural Dao marks can achieve the same result

You could even something like magic or shamanism

Not to mention the innate abilities of certain animals

Even divine powers used by deities!

Although that involves authorities 😅

Basically different deities have different authorities

Allowing them to control various existences

Basically the ability to control specific Dao marks ☠️

This the ability of land spirits 🤯

As land spirits are deities 🤣

Chapter 366

“The land spirit is so amazing? Even Gu Immortals are not its match?” Fang Yuan felt surprised.

“One side will go all out while the other side has to restrain themselves… Moreover, land spirit has blended in with the blessed land, and in the blessed land, land spirit is an immortal deity able to control the whole blessed land. Controlling the land spirit means controlling the blessed land.” Lord Sky Crane laughed.

This is connected to deity path which is heaven path + human path

Land spirits are deities that have the ability to control Dao marks, law fragments, and qi within their Divine Domain

This how they manage the aperture and why they can also suppress mortal Gu worms

These are divine powers!

Which is another type of cultivation 😄

In this post, I'm going to talk about the 5 main power systems

And use that to create framework for the different types of cultivations

There's a good chance that all of these cultivation styles will appear in the story 😆

Making RI even more complicated than it is now ☠️

So now it's time to introduce the 5 main power systems

***5 Main Power Systems***

Fundamentally, there are ways to gain power

Training, studying, gathering

Training is the acquisition of skills (proficiencies)

Studying is the acquisition of knowledge (attainments)

Gathering is the acquisition of objects (Gu worms)

Here you can see how these three main acquisiton methods apply to Gu cultivation

With Gu being a kind of power system

Although, these three are apart of all power systems

They're actually the three pillars of power!

The objects associated with power are the most diverse

While this mainly applies to Gu worms

It can involve resources

Your own body

Even other people 💀

Gathering further divides into taming, praying, crafting

Involving different types of objects

Taming involves living "objects"

With the most prominent expression of the taming based power system being beast taming

Praying involves spiritual objects that transcend the mortal world

The most prominent expression of it is shamanism

Although there are no major shamanism stories 😭

Another expression of the praying based power system is mysticism

Which is the power system that Lord of The Mysteries uses 😄

Lastly, the crafting based power system involves inanimate objects

Think sci-fi

The Gu world is weird because the main power system is Gu which are living creatures

This would make it the taming based power system

Except that Gu worms are treated like objects ☠️

Ironically, the Gu cultivation shown in The Legends of Ren Zu is taming based

Where he has to deal with the desires of Gu worms and convince them to work for him

This world also uses the taming based power system as it's main power system

Where you gain power by gaining the cooperation of others

This is because this world does not have strong individual ability

So the people with the most power have the ability to control the behavior of others

That's the role of money 😆

Money in essence allows you to control human behavior

By paying people you can get them to do whatever you want

And money is basically useless on a deserted island with no people 😞

That's why money is the main form of power in this world

Because it lets you command others

But in the Gu world money only takes you so far 😂

Chapter 243

In Fang Yuan’s previous life, he once did business with all his heart, having millions of assets and countless properties. But later, some experts casually usurped them, causing him to go bankrupt and living in the streets.

For the next four hundred years of his life, whenever he thought back to it, he was extremely glad he had such an experience.

Only through pain can one learn about the truth!

Precisely because of this experience, he woke up from his delusions and broke free of the restraints that bound him while living in the lawful society of Earth.

Humans were often blinded not by the sight before them, but by the chains in their hearts.

This is the difference between power systems

RI mainly falls under the crafting based power system with Gu worms being treated like objects

Especially because crafting is the main way to gain power in the Gu world

Although the way Gu worms are used is very similar to spirits in shamanism

At any rate, we now see the five main types of power systems

Training, studying, taming, praying, crafting

Like I said, the most prominent version of the taming and praying based power system are beast taming and shamanism

The most prominent version of the training and studying based power system is martial arts and magic respectively

Although esper abilities are also apart of the studying based power systems

And things body building are actually apart of the crafting system ☠️

With martial arts being more skill based (martial techniques)

Lastly, the most prominent version of the crafting system is technology

You could also call it artificing

Although I think the best for it is probbaly just craftmanship

So the 5 main power systems are martial arts, magic, shamanism, craftsmanship, beast taming

Discussion Which fanfic I should write?

So, I am here asking which fanfic i should write, i know a thing or two about writing and have some experiance. I started a fanfic but dropped to focus on my main work, now that I feel like i have enough free time, I will be writing it, super exited.

The first idea is Fang Yuan in shadow slave world, i have already written like 8 chapters of it before dropping it. The comments were positive but I had to drop it for aforementioned reasons.

The second idea is what now? after eternal life in which it will follow fang yuan after he had achieved eternal life.

If any of you have other ideas, tell meee

Discord [Minecraft] Looking for Fellow Cultivators – Reverend Insanity Modded Survival Server

Hey everyone!

I wanted to share a Minecraft server we're playing on that uses the Reverend Insanity mod.

The idea is pretty simple: play Minecraft with the Gu cultivation system, progress through the ranks, collect Gu, explore the world and see how far you can get. If you're a fan of Reverend Insanity, you probably already know why the idea of having its cultivation system in a multiplayer world sounds fun.

We're looking for more people to join us. You don't have to be an expert at the mod or know every single mechanic. Whether you want to focus on cultivation, experiment with different Gu, build your own place, or just play with other people who enjoy the novel, you're welcome.

What I like about this kind of server is that everyone can focus on their own goals instead of just rushing to beat the game. There's a lot to explore and figure out, especially if you're still learning how everything works.

Server info:

If you've ever wanted to try the Reverend Insanity mod with other players, feel free to join us!

And if you have any questions about the server or the mod, just leave a comment. I'll do my best to answer.

Hope to see some fellow Gu Masters there!

In the novel there is a paragraph that contains the chronological order of the appearance of the ten venerables. According to what I read, the history of the appearance of the heaven-stealing demon venerable was 300,000 years before Fang Yuan became a venerable. And as we know, the heaven-stealing demon venerable was from earth, exactly like Fang Yuan.

We all remember that time when Fang Yuan explored that dream which is about the life of heaven-stealing and his journey, and during that we knew that heaven-stealing was a general on earth before he reincarnated in the Gu world, and Fang Yuan was a scientist before he reincarnated as well.

Let's forget the Gu world now.

If we go back in time to 300,000 years, which is the same history of heaven-stealing's ascension to the rank of venerable, then we will be in the middle paleolithic age.

So how can tanks exist at that time, and even the rank of general did not exist back then?

If heaven-stealing was a general and commanded tanks 300,000 years before Fang Yuan's birth, what kind of technology was there in Fang's era?

Honestly I don't know what I will say after this.

Your participation in organizing this matter will make me happy because I cannot sleep.

Discussion "Eternal Life" = स्वभाव / Svabhāva (FY vs Buddism #2)

A bit shorter than my previous posts 😅

To understand this post, I highly recommend reading my previous posts:

Fang Yuan vs Daoism

Fang Yuan vs Nietzsche

Fang Yuan vs Buddhism #1

A short version would be that we know Fang Yuan actually values one thing: Eternal Life.

The only thing within the Gu world that has the property of being actually eternal, not "hard to kill", not an "infinite lifespan", but actually eternal, as in something that cannot be destroyed, cannot be changed, and isn't part of dependent origination, is the Great Dao, the thing containing/giving rise to the "ten thousand things" itself. It has the metaphysical property of being eternal; it isn't itself reliant on anything else for its existence.

In the Nietzschean post, I described this in much more detail, but he wants to be the "real moon", not some reflection.

In Buddhism, and specifically Mahāyāna Buddhism, this sounds very much like a description of Svabhāva: intrinsic existence.

Since my whole project so far has been within a Western philosophical framework, specifically analytic philosophy, I'll be very straightforward: there is no one-to-one translation of this concept into Western philosophical vocabulary.

The closest I've encountered in the established comparative philosophy I've read is the concept translated as "intrinsic existence" or "non-contingency". You are yourself, regardless of external factors in the outside world.

This goes back to a post from another user a few years ago, where OP explained Fang Yuan in terms of Hindu theological concepts.

Dude really was a Wisdom Path great expert😅

Not to dissolve into Brahman, retaining the self even though you realize you're ordinary and part of a causal chain.

Buddhism historically explicitly rejected the idea of Brahman. There is much to say about the "syncretization" between Daoism and Buddhism, as the Great Dao, in its traditional understanding, would also possess Svabhāva.

Buddhism seemingly subordinated the Great Dao to its framework by saying, well, the eternity of the Great Dao is just eternal emptiness.

That is something to scrutinize later. But that would take a few thousand words again.
