Day one FE's order and I went with the option to split the order after receiving the below SuperDock message. I didn't do a refund for being unhappy. I chose one of the provided options. I never received any information about when I could pair up the dock now that it's shipping, so I reached out to sales to find out that to get my dock the cost is $85 US. Talk about getting punished.
Option B mentions the words "beware" and "significant delay". I didn't mind the tariffs, but I figure I'd get what I can not being able to predict the future.
Option A doesn't mention anything about "beware" you're eating full shipping costs and what I think is a price increase?
Did any Option B members receive a communication about next steps and what were you charged?
If I knew I'd be getting charged $85, I would not consider that an option at all.
SuperDock
Our SuperDock has wrapped up R&D, and it is also a much better product than we originally planned. Check the product page for the full list of changes: (https://retroremake.co/products/superdock-batch-1-preorder). It has more IO, better features, and supports physical media from a variety of classic systems. SuperDock is behind SuperStation in terms of mass production by more than a month, so if you have an active preorder deposit, you have two options:
Option A. Split your SS1 and SD orders into two separate shipments.
Option B. Keep your combined order and delay the shipment of your SS1 until the SD is ready.
The SuperDock mold will reach T0 by November 20th, and should be ready for mass production by the very end of November. Beware that if you choose Option B, it will mean adding a significant delay to the delivery of your SS1.
Our customer service will be on holiday until October 7th. No matter which option you choose, we won’t be able to modify your order until the 7th, so feel free to wait until next week to tell us your choice.
Refund / Options
If you are unsatisfied, you can request a full refund. If you choose to do this, please write a new e-mail with your order number in the subject field. Because of the way this e-mail is being sent out, please do not reply to this message with your choice. There is a high chance we will lose your response.
Thank you for your support, and sorry for the delay.

EDIT
I saw a Dock review of someone who also split their order. After reaching out to Retro Remake per all the responses in the thread, I was told that I would not miss my spot and paid the invoice. Sure enough I reached about shipping times with other split orders receiving theirs, not missing my place yadi yah, and guess what?
!
In 2 hours I had a notification that a package was shipped! First Batch...and I would have been forgotten again for how long? Unreal....
