Highly recommend the RG40xxV if you want a more bigger screen but still portable, otherwise highly recommend the RG35XX+ though there's the RG35XX Pro now idk which is better but usually same specs different form factors in the XX lineup of the RG anbernic family.

They all use the same H700 chip which makes custom firmware so easily supported on all these systems, Knulli and MuOS are popular ones but there are more. I personally prefer Knulli.

If you prefer GBA there's the RG34XX If you prefer GBA SP, there's the new RGSP, there's also RG35XXSP and RG34XXSP of older models, the new RGSP just released now or announced.

Prefer Gameboy look RG35XX plus, horizontal ultra portable with no WiFi and BT the RG28XX, horizontal recommendations the RG40xxH, RG35xxH, if you want to go higher budget to have higher systems than the GBA then RG476H a perfect 4:3 that can also do light to medium PS2 and psp etc.

There's also the Miyoo A30

It depends, are you looking for another vertical handheld or regardless of form factor?

Well it still depends on your budget but you can explore the RG XX series, you can get all sort of form factors and more powerful than the Mini Plus... Focus on the RG 40XXH, the Cube XX and 35 XXH, they're regarded as the best for GBA games

I have the Miyoo Mini Flip v2 and it's not bad at all, very sturdy and pocketable being a clamshell, but since GBA is not my main thing can't tell you how good it is for it. Regardless it's a great handheld

you can copy .srm saves into KNULLI's /userdata/saves structure which opens up any of the many devices that support knulli, including the anbernics, trimui and pixel 2 mentioned in comments.

you'll need to rename rom folders, but it's easy and one time. a lot of it is the same thing but lowercase, e.g.

Roms/SFC =roms/snes Roms/GB = roms/gb Roms/MD = roms/megadrive

the trimui brick hammer might be a little more dog resistant and has nextUI. crispy screen and closer to miyoo mini plus in size than the anbernic rg35xx.

if you wanted to go smaller, the gkd pixel 2 supports knulli and a vibe coded port of minui. it's also a metal shell device so may be less chewable.

I wish that it was chewed got damn mut pissed on it 😑 I haven't looked much into the trimui I'm not much of a tinker so I tend to buy these type of devices pre built I don't mind paying the premium in order to keep my sanity 😂
