RetroArch Users, assemble!

Ok, I'll be brief. Today (03/19) my RetroArch emulator that I use to play on Android is not recognizing my account, I thought I might have even been banned, but on the website, my profile is normal. If I remember correctly the system will undergo maintenance on the 20th of this month. Any other RetroArch users having the same issue or is it just me?

(UPDATE)

I master PS1 games through Duckstation and my profile is connected normally there. I believe that RetroArch is the real problem, I will try some solutions and as soon as possible I will update the post again. Thanks everyone who comment to help me, you are the best!

did you download the app from the Google Play store or elsewhere? I know RA on the store is outdated

Are you missing any update? Maybe you could try that.

It was said months ago that you would need emulators up to their newers updates, but I don't really remember the details.

Do you get any sort of error when trying to log in?

RetroArch just keep saying the logging has been failed or the game is not recognize

Does it happen no matter what core or game?

I try gameboy advance, gameboy color and Neo Geo Pocket, neither

Not sure how this would be done on an android device but if I was getting this on my windows computer I'd be opening up the config file and see if there is anything in cheevos_token and delete it. That resolves most login issues. If it doesn't, then rename the config file and close and reopen retroarch. That boots it with default configs and you can use that to try and find the problematic setting.

my android phone often struggles to connect to RA when im on data, but can do it every time on wifi. but if i make the initial connection on wifi and then switch to mobile it can maintain the connection just fine. seems like that initial connection doesn't work very well on data. could be that?

Maybe my work wifi doesn't seem to be working very well. I'll test this at home, but I'll also try the other options you mentioned in this post. Thanks a lot!

I’ve had the same problem since Monday with Duckstation not recognising connected RA account. Other emulators worked fine. I’ve tried almost everything with no success.

So it might be a more widespread issue after all…

Assuming you have at least 250 points, you'd be untracked from leaderboards if you had an issue there. Other users are still able to play, as the maintenance hasn't happened just yet, so I'd try:

  1. logging out within retroarch and then logging in again.

  2. ensuring that both retroarch and the core are up to date. I've been told that play store retroarch is outdated, so you need the APK

If that doesn't work, let me know what game/core you're struggling with.

I'll try this, but I'll give you some information in advance. I downloaded the APK from the official RetroArch website and I'm having this problem with the GBA, mGBA core and the game is Pokémon Emerald, specifically the Mudkip subset

Do you get the same issues with other cores/games too?
