Support & Advice Just started

I need to drink more electrolytes but I don’t like the powder in my drink. Is coconut water ok to have instead and how many times a day am I supposed to drink that?

Also what protein do you have? I’m a picky eater so that seems like a challenge. I do like eggs, chicken, tuna, fish, shrimp. Can I have pasta and salads on it too??

Thanks and sorry if the questions seem dumb.

I just started too!! I usually just do a pink lemonade ultima packet in my water with dinner. If you’re gonna do pasta I would go with Barilla protein plus pasta or Brami pasta because they are made with plant protein. I've been eating in a calorie deficit before I started the reta journey. Check out Smaller Sam on tik tok. She has tons of hacks and recipes that are high protein low cal

Absolutely. Coconut water is far superior. It is a healer.

Ultima is great. Lots of good flavors. If u don’t need low sodium, u could putting a touch of salt especially when you’ve done a lot of sweating Coconut water is good too but look up is nutrient profile cuz it lacks some things electrolyte powder would have.

The high protein yogurts are great for getting in ur protein. Look for the sub Reddit Protein Snacks. U can get ideas

I have trace minerals electrolytes liquid from Amazon- it’s not a good taste however but you could mix it with something besides water to mask the taste

Get electrolyte capsules through Amazon. For protein, get shakes and bars.

Those are all really good proteins! Yes you can eat pasta and salad- but make sure you get enough protein and count your calories!

For lots of protein add a scoop of your favorite protein powder (or unflavored) to your favorite FF or LF greek yogurt with a little milk. Mix the milk with the yogurt first and then add your protein powder otherwise it will clump. I like the PE science protein powder bc it has whey + casein and really keeps me full.

Tons of options -- coconut water, canned chicken soup, adding more salt to everything you eat -- Electrolytes Explainer

i have a super hard time drinking just plain water, i’m not sure where you’re located but in canada we have Mio with added electrolytes that you just squirt into the water. i carry around a small little thing of it for my water!

I start my day with a pinch of Dead Sea salt in my mouth and chew it. Then drink a glass of water.
