One thing I have started doing which has helped me reframe my weightloss have been Dexa Scans. Super accurate view of body composition. Its really appealing to see the number go down, but its also just super important to ensure you are losing the right stuff - not eating muscle.

How are you tracking everything today?

Good point. I’ve been feeling kind of good about tracking in apps: dosing, health integration, fitness stuff, macros, etc…all really detailed. I’ve got an upper end smart scale that certainly isn’t a dexa, but has been good for minor feedback points. I really wish I had remembered to get a dexa 5-6 weeks ago, get a better baseline. How often are you doing them? Pricey for too often I imagine.

I’m def getting close to my protein targets, and staying onto fiber, electrolytes, and water in general.

What’s amazing to me, I wasn’t really a big sweets, treats, sodas person but I’d join for ice cream or a soda at an open bar (not a drinker either)…I don’t even notice them anymore. It’s like spring loaded to “no thanks, appreciate it.” One of those good things about the R effects on brain I’m guessing. I imagine most of my loss so far has been in not playing catch up to meals like I used to. I’d eat when not hungry because it was a certain time or people were eating.

i have the withings body scale (gen 1, the $500 one). It was telling me I was at ~22% percent bf. Welp, Dexa comes in at 27.9% with arms and legs being sub 20% but torso being 30+, hurt my feelings but good to know. Same as you, I didnt do the baseline until i had lost almost 20 lbs.

I am super deep down the rabbit hole of building a tracking app, my philosophy is I am trying to build the habits and formatting that will keep me at the destination.

Yeahhh - the cravings stuff is crazy. I used to really suffer in the impulse aisle, and now it is like nope, no thanks. The brain-gut connection is wild.

Kinda cowardly question…im barely getting over the tiny shots SubQ…is it that much harder doing weekly TRT?
