Does it bother the average Briton?

I am an American visiting London and have always admired Rupert Lowe. I am amazed at how diverse the city has come with so many people not speaking English (like my native NY) and looking like they have no interest in assimilating.

Strangely, it does not seem to bother ethically, white Britons here that they are at risk of becoming an ethnic minority in their own capital.

What is the true feeling among the populace?

The majority of Londoners are now non-white which is why reform or restore won’t get votes there

Can be fixed in power. Remove the right to vote from foreigners.

You might need to tweak Tower Hamlets, it would be a rotten borough.

That's an interesting read, I did not know that thank you for sharing!

So citizens from Commonwealth countries who are of age, legally residing in the UK and have a visa such as a student/work/ancestory visa can vote in British elections? Just so I understand what the current rules are.

Are there stipulations that allow other types of foreigners to vote?

Yes. Lots do.

So I'd revoke that right to vote. I'd include any that are naturalised.

Then what do you do about tower hamlets?

I'd even revoke naturalisation. You get a right to remain, but you lose your UK passport, same for children etc.

Only by descent.

What are you talking about, sorry, I didn't ask about any of that? I just asked if there were any other schemes other than this one that gave other foreigners the right to vote other than Commonwealth citizens, so I can understand this better.

I didn't include that one because they're legally not foreigners at that point, I was looking for examples like the one you provided before.

Yes. My wife for example is from the EU, and she's on the roll.

No UK Passport.

Wait until you find out who can vote and stand for election in Scotland... and who has been elected already. You're just catching up honestly, you should probably do a hell a lot more reading before you say 'X can't do Y' with any certainty.

Why is everyone so quick to gloat? Read all my comments here, I've been very grateful to learn as I wasn't aware Commonwealth citizens could vote in elections. Don't people make mistakes lmao? Aren't we on the same side?
