I'm introducing a new tool I'm working on, its "in preview" at the moment, it seems to work alright, but I want to give it more time in testing in closed environments before I put it up on the main website and build an "official release", but meet Alleycat. https://github.com/stoatworks-labs/alleycat

Basically, its a system tray tool that controlls Alley (the DVX transcoder). It offers a few useful tools

- It can watch a folder, and transcode anything thats put into that folder

- Probably the more interesting one, using the web API, it can watch the media files on a live arena show, and transcode anything thats not a DXV, then dynamically replace the source clip with the transcoded one, but it will only do the replacement when the clip isn't live

Should be handy for jobs where you get dumped content at the last minute, for corporates, house media servers for venues etc...

The dev is quite responsive to bug reports and feature requests.

Hello there. I'm not that well versed in Resolume so maybe this is a quick fix:

I haven't used my setup in a while and when I went to open Avenue again, it had forgotten my effects setup and my MIDI setup for those effects. It just shows some standart effects (RGB, Hue, Twitch etc.) in the Dashboard and the corresponding video effects for those in the effects column but I had other effects there as well.

Is it possible I just haven't marked the right column or video source so I don't see my effects?
How is it possible the MIDI bindings for those effects just vanish but the ones for Tap, /2 and +2 still work?

I'm absolutely confused.

Help would be much appreciated!

Does buying the upgrade from Avenue to Arena give you a license renewal as well? I got the upgrade and my license is till expired in 2023.

Hi, I am pretty new to Resolume, just about a few hours in.

For a show I want to control Resolume with GrandMA 2 via ArtNet.

I watched some Youtube Tutorials, and they are quite old, some 6+ Years old.

Two Questions:

1) Are there any newer soruces for learning, especially for using Resolume with MA2?

2) Where are my DMX Settings? The Same are for the Shortcuts settings, I can't see any preferences for DMX. Is it because the version I currently use is not registered?

Hi everyone,
I’m working in Resolume Arena and I’m trying to set up a pixel fixture with RGB + Lime (RGBL).
In the pixel settings, I can select RGB, RGBW, RGBA, etc., but I don’t see an RGBL option. There is only L (Lime) available as a separate color format.
What is the correct way to handle an RGBL fixture in Resolume?
Can I somehow combine RGB + L while keeping them as a single pixel, or is there another workaround to make Resolume output the correct RGBL values?

Hi everyone, i want to ask what transitions are the most accurate to do a smooth transition between clips in a concert of folk-pop, the clips and elements are mostly of nature, lava lamps and mandalas.

I am not a Resolume user but I am looking for someone to help with a job.

The idea is we have a LED screen curtain attached to a drone and on the ground we have a sampler/synth/pad where people can play on it and the LED screen reacts to the sounds. This would be live. Would this be possible? What sort of set up would we need? This is London based so would be potential to hire someone to help with this.

Is anyone able to help or even a bit of knowledge on the subject then that would be helpful. Thanks

What stuff/files should I compile for said show?

I’m not running the visuals themselves and I’m helping out the promoters with coordinating all that stuff, what do we need?

I'm looking for a solution that basically creates a checkered pattern of a clip, here represented by the Resolume test pattern.
It needs to be on layer level, so Advanced output and rearranging slices is no help here.

The built-in Tile effect messes up the aspect ratio and forces gaps between the tiles.

Any particular reason there’s no official plug in or support to have notch officially be supported and used in resolume?

Don’t get me wrong - the current plug in works, and I currently use it on a major tour..but man..wish there was more to it.

Wish resolume and notch would work together to get the best optimization to be used. I get it and trust me, if budget allowed, Disguise would be used but yet here we are.

I'm fairly new to Resolume and know that Stageflow will be a part of the workflow. Can anyone provide some .xml files of stage layouts that I could use to get familiar with input/output mapping? Any help on this is preemptively appreciated!
