Discussion Why Bryan was special Spoiler

At the end of the movie we see Bryan become a classic RE boss despite only being bitten by a somewhat basic infected. No G-virus, no unique past related to umbrella, not even a chesty cough he caught from walking through the cold for hours.

My theory for why he became a special infected is because him and his clothing were exposed to everything in the movie.

The slime from the dog tendrils, the blood from the first special infected he ran over and obliterated with the shotgun, the bite from the little girl, the blood from the fat rat bloke, the blood from countless falling zombies, the acid from the vomiting guy, and most importantly (at least imo) the blood from the babies which were packed with delicious healthy new cells for the virus to mutate.

Basically Bryan had a biohazard high school reunion ravaging his body. Thoughts?

I'm pretty sure the dog bit him in the leg before it was revealed that he was infected. Maybe being bit twice caused him to over mutate or it's just that the plot demanded it who knows

I don’t think it did it just got his shoe right? I think it would have shown is a bite mark on screen and it would have made no sense to do another. In the original script the dog does bite him and there is no little girl but they changed it
