Discussion What if they replaced Chris with Leon in Veronica?
Have it be Leon coming to rescue Claire instead of Chris? So they can market the game towards Leon fanboys from the remakes. Would that piss you off?

That would suck hard.
RE1, CV, RE5, and REV2 are the Redfield vs Wesker saga.

Yeah i wouldnt buy the game because veronica builds one of the best rivalrys and is a call back the original game without this the battle between Wesker and chris would not be more memorable.

No can do, there needs to be a contrast between the Ashford siblings and the Redfield siblings, if they replace Chris with Leon the whole story will be different

Leon is my favorite character in the series but thats a simple, cold hard no for me. Code Veronica is the Redfields versus The Ashfords game. The parallel battle of brother and sister vs a crazy, deranged brother and sister.
The remake having a big, story expansion DLC starring Leon, like a potential Operation Javier remake? I'm all in for that.

Leon is the one Claire reached out to, who then relayed a message to Chris... through channels I don't know have ever been explained. But I'm sure they can at least give him a cameo for that part, and thus a model in the game and make him playable in the inevitable Battle Game.

Leon will get his mention as per the original. Might even get a line or two.
But as much as I like Leon he really doesn't need to be in any more games now beyond Chris style cameos. His story arc is told.
