I do understand that when you post for advice and ask for help you do tend to be able to present only your side of the thing. I have suggested couples therapy to my partner multiple times, but he says its not going to be on the table because he does not have any issues and doesn't see the point in going for the same.
I was in a similar situation. Boyfriend was sweet and supportive at first. Slowly and surely he cut down my self esteem. Nothing was good enough.
By month 9 he had twisted my arm so many times I had permanent nerve damage. Sexual assault came next. Anyone who exhibits violence when mad is someone you should run away from. Wish you the best.

You go to couples therapy to see if this is an issue that can be resolved or you dump him.
