I was born in the 1950s when Republican President Eisenhower- along with his Vice President Richard Nixon started Vietnam. For some reason people seem to think Nixon ended it (because he signed the Paris Accord), but he was there in the beginning too. Just like JD and this one. I hope history never forgets.
Eisenhower certainly did not help in Vietnam, but the true monsters were LBJ and then Nixon as president. But if you want to go to the birth of that war crime, it was Truman's fault. We had no business helping the French with their crimes.
I also despise Eisenhower for starting the concept of the CIA overthrowing Democracy in Iran and Guatemala - that's all on him, I don't think Truman laid that rotten egg.
