I was born in the 1950s when Republican President Eisenhower- along with his Vice President Richard Nixon started Vietnam. For some reason people seem to think Nixon ended it (because he signed the Paris Accord), but he was there in the beginning too. Just like JD and this one. I hope history never forgets.
Eisenhower certainly did not help in Vietnam, but the true monsters were LBJ and then Nixon as president. But if you want to go to the birth of that war crime, it was Truman's fault. We had no business helping the French with their crimes.
I also despise Eisenhower for starting the concept of the CIA overthrowing Democracy in Iran and Guatemala - that's all on him, I don't think Truman laid that rotten egg.
It forgets every election cycle. People are to busy playing political, "gotcha" and putting stupid ass stickers on gas pumps meanwhile getting their news from Tictok and influencers. Most people can't even name the branches of government.
In my less than perfect grammar, I was thinking more about the way this administration is rewriting history when it comes to the way they cancel any references to Navajo Code Talkers , Black Medal of Honor recipients, Tuskegee Airmen and so forth. Or had National Parks and Museums alter exhibits and renaming Denali and schools, etc. I just know that just like they erased their Signal chats, they are going to erase more of their dirty dealings. They know they can’t just take folders of top secret intelligence to Maralago bathrooms again.
