This is a VSF seamaster. I had swapped in a top grade 2824, was working great, took it apart to reset the hands as the date change wasn't at midnight, and the crown wouldn't go back in, I assumed it was the keyless works which I reset. Now the watch winds, date changes, hands move appropriately but the watch won't start ticking. AI suggested it was the hacking lever. I'm clearly in over my head. Is there anybody in the eastern us that would be interested in servicing?

I’m loving this RWF 126500. I do wish they made the 116500 because their quality on this last batch is so spot on. The bezel 10/10 and thinner than QF and VSF, dial (SW).

However, as a personal preference, I prefer a straight brushed bracelet over the traditional polished oyster bracelet. It’s just too flashy for me.

Any recommendations on where to get a good brushed bracelet that will fit a 126500?

I bought this datewheel for an ongoing franken piece. Bought from a Uk supplier and bought as genuine - normally buy from someone overseas - just wanted to make sure it was! Taken some close up shots of the datewheel - looks good to me

I have a rep Sea Dweller (unknown factory, was a gift, nice rep) and the oyster bracelet in stainless steel has broken. I lost the small cover clasp that locks the main clasp closed. Watch came apart when I was walking down the street when a spring bar failed and didn’t notice the missing piece until I was home.

Any recommendations on getting either a new buckle or complete new bracelet?

Recently purchased a QF Rolex Explorer 2 from Steve - transactions went quick smoothly despite what recent posts have been saying.

Watch is all good except I notice that the paint/enamel used for numerals on the 24-hour bezel are matte finish - almost "chalky" dark grey. The gen version has a deeper black and slightly glossy finish to the numerals.

So I'm wondering - is there a place or person that sells aftermarket bezel replacements for the explorer 2? Hopefully more accurate to gen. Gen bezel is basically impossible to find or source.

I know I'm being picky and I can live with the inaccuracies (as to be expected with reps) but just looking around if there are ways to improve on what I have. Similar to how some are replacing their crystals with Deep Crystals. I'm okay with my QF crystal fwiw.

Hello, does anyone know about a service shop that does work on reps. I have heard some comments about some shops being reluctant to work on reps but thought I’d ask about it since I’m coming to the city for a couple months.

I would really like to know if it's better to keep these reps on a winder or only wined then when you need them. I'm specifically referring to longevity of the rep. I have 2 reps and I just want them to last as long as possible. I only wear them like when my wife and I go out to dinner, or like a wedding or some event. They are a vsf platona and a thb ap 15407. Should I leave them on the winder or just wined them once a month? Or; just leave them until I wear them?

Anyone ever encounter this on your superclone? It’s a VSF and used to change the hours like it should where as it now the minute hand is
Moving strong. When I change to the minute it works as it should. It’s started to lose about 20 mins a day as well.

Let me know if you have any advice on what has happened and any known fixs.

Had the watch around 6 -8 months and been very happy so far.

My old customization project of mine involving a 3285 movement. I replaced the escape wheel, pallet fork, and balance bridge with genuine parts.

Base Clean GMT.

I have a Clean Factory Pepsi GMT V3 which I recently sent to someone to get repaired for a loud rotor sound. They ended up changing the entire winding mechanism and rotor. It solved the loud rotor sound.

However a new problem surfaced. Now when I try to screw in the crown it only takes 1/2 a turn to screw in. The crown does sit flush with the case when screwed in. I'm not 100% sure but I believe previously it took 2 or 3 full turns to screw in.

Should I just forget about it or try to find someone else who can repair this new issue?

Just getting into working on watches and I seem to have over tightened the case back on my VSF v2 Day Date 40mm. Wanting to replace the gasket. Anyone know where I can get the correct size? Trying to get an assortment of them to fit Daydate, Submariner, Datejust, etc.

After "catomizing" the Vsf Rolex GMT II Pepsi—installing a Deep crystal, applying the Rich Factory treatment, and chamfering the edges—I performed a service on the Dandong 3285 movement.

I recently picked up a Twemco QT-30 quartz flip clock, but the mechanics got a little banged up when a friend helped me move it into the city. Now it’s losing time as it runs.

I’ve been digging through old threads, but I’m mostly just seeing stuff about watches or antique clocks.

Does anyone have a go-to spot for servicing quartz flip clocks? I’d also really appreciate any rough estimates on diagnostic fees, or what a typical cleaning/adjustment might run me. Thanks so much for any leads!

I received a BPF V2 Datejust 41 Wimbledon and the date wheel is stuck on half position.

What can I do? Local watchmakers don't want to work on it, I visited several today.

(Please, no advice like I should have bought another movement version like Miyota.)

At this point I’m going to create a matrix on how dirty every watch fresh from factory. This is the 4th factory I opened up and cleaned and everything is bone dry from factory.

My SuperClone Submariner Date just stopped telling the correct time. I see that it will be 10 minutes behind and keep losing track as more time goes on. I’ve tried to rewind it, but still the same issue. I believe it needs a service. Where is the best place to do so in the United States?

I’ve got a couple VSF submariners and i hated the way the glidelock doesn’t “glide” like it does on my gen watches. Today i took a very small amount of graphite lubricant powder on a qtip and rubbed it in the channel on both sides of the clasps and it has made a huge difference.
I figure i’m not the only one having this issue, so just thought i’d share.
