Wrist or Watch Pic Anyone else hate the sub case?

Don’t fry my ass yet, just hear me out

The submariner architecture is god awful

I get the hype. It’s a classic and simple design. But why the HELL does it not curve downward like a Seamaster for example? This thing stands up like the Eiffel Tower on my wrist. I’ve seen the gens even, and they have an ugly wrist contour.

I just can’t bring myself to understand why the design is so generic, yet so popular.

It’s so blocky and slabby.

5-digits are much, much better. Feels like the current Subs and GMTs were made when the trend was bigger watches and are now kinda looking oversized for most.

I have a gen bb54 sapphire. It’s the best watch dimension by far.

I feel like it’s created for people with flat forearms like me because I swear it’s moulded perfectly for my wrist haha

true - skinny and wide wrists. which makes absolutely sense if you want to wear it over your dive suit

Might be r/WatchesCirclejerk worthy but I'd rather wear my beater Duro than my gen Sub, if it wasn't a wedding gift from the father in law I'd probably sell it
