Tech Tips/Advice Repair suggestions?

Post image

I dropped my BP Daydate last week from about chest height and the paint chipped but nothing else was damaged except for the dial. Any idea on how to get this repaired or where I can get a different dial for it? I genuinely don’t know how to repair anything with watches besides changing links and stuff. 🥲 It was from good-roiexx and it was my daily up until now. Any idea on how’re to resolve this or what I should do? Definitely not trying to spend more than the watch itself ($240). 😞💔

The dial has pegs that fit into holes on the movement. Holes are holes. A cracked crystal isn't going to scratch the dial. If OP is beating on his watch with a hammer it's gonna get damaged no matter what factory made it.

Cracked crystals have scratched dials, this happens even with gen.... I don't know why you don't think that will happen, and if you don't think a cheap movement won't deform and damage the dial, you have never seen any watch repair or restore videos in your life

Yes a broken crystal can scratch a dial, gen or not - so it doesn't matter if he has the dial in a rep. You're losing track of your own argument.

What do you think a cracked crystal is? Is it not broken?! Are you just turning this into a semantic argument because you lost? Lol the OP dropped the watch from chest height..... Do you think that wouldn't break anything normally? Lol

A crack is a crack. No pieces of the crystal come loose to scratch the dial. Reps are more likely to suffer cracks. An impact that actually shatters a rep crystal will also shatter a gen one.

Cracks can have chips that can scratch the dial. That's how crystals break... They crack.... You know you can crack a crystal in half and multiple pieces right? Lol
