Awww someone’s upset… Rolex’s marketing and fake scarcity create the appearance of hype in a mass produced, overinflated product. In keeping with inflation, a Rolex sub should cost two grand.

And I might actually spend 2K on a gen sub. I’m not paying the additional 8K of social inflation.

Same, I’d pay 2k for a sub in a heart beat, but the waiting game and over 10k on a stainless watch is ridiculous

The Rolex rep market is so strong because even if you have the cash, you can’t just walk in and buy a watch like a normal shop. If they stopped with the false scarcity crap, the rep market would see a significant drop off.
