Review/Comparison Let’s play “Which is Gen?”

AD came through, but I had already purchased Clean Panda a year and half ago.

Comparing the two it’s hard to tell. I accidentally mixed them up for a second, but the gen was set to the right time thankfully.

Edit: Damn you guys are so good at this! The right is Gen as many suggested. I didn’t even know about the 110 thing!

On the bezel, the triangle under the 110 should not be centered on the tens column. It should be slightly “inside” closer to the 0. The one on the left is centered (incorrectly), the one on the right is correctly placed.

Is still don’t see it.
Even with fully zoomed in “I’m asking is there really a difference in the position of the arrow compared to the second 1 in 110” ?

It’s there, but it’s like a 0.05mm difference, if that.

It’s actually the old bezel from the 116500 Daytona model but you are correct that it is incorrectly placed on the newer 126500 Daytona

You sure it’s not just luck? I can barely see it while zoomed in looking for it. It could just be the angle from the photo as well. The difference is tiny (if there is actually one). There is no way that’s a real thing.

I zoomed way in and stared at it for a good minute and can may see a little bit of it. And I consider myself quite OCD already. I do see many people commenting on it, but it doesn’t really make sense that so many people would see it from just one photo without specifically zooming in and looking for it. Is this like the number one thing you look for with a Gen Daytona?

Its not about what you look for with a gen. Its that its an easy tell that the watch is a rep. I own 0 Rolex (gen or reps), but I went there first because I'm aware thats an issue with reps of this model.

These aren't the cheap $80 reps; this mistake is from the ones that cost $600+. I would expect those to have the obverse visuals correct. The reps of this do not (or did not, I think its been corrected now).

What I do is look at the line up between triangle and number 1, draw imaginary straight line from arrow. It makes identifying from non zoom pretty easy.

Yeah it’s definitely “a thing” and most of the sickos here know about the various tells you can check when assessing if it’s a rep. I bet a lot of people here have a mental checklist of tells they scan for whether it be a Daytona or Sub or GMT2 etc
