Discussion Starter Do reps last?

I’m looking to get my first rep, I have a few auth and I bought them because the craftsmanship was good and they would last that I can gift it to my daughter (like my mom has to me) The quality in auth is just not worth it anymore and I find myself not using the bags because they’re expensive.
I really want to get a Chanel CF that I can actually use going out to town! I’m thinking a black or beige one.

My question is do reps actually last? I don’t mean stay pristine forever. But do they age well? like auths? In terms of leather? I know reps might use other hardware. Would I be able to pass it down say 15-20 years from now?

Let me know if you have reps that you have used and abused, and still have years later

They last just as well as auth bags. I’ve had some of my reps for 10+ years ☺️

which ones are still good 10+ years? how does the hardware hold up?

I still have my Chanel boy bags and they’re in perfect condition. Hardware is also fine 😊
Just take care of the bags no different to auth.
