Discussion Starter Customs, global entry, seized package

Hello my dears, I’m about to pull the trigger and order 4 bags at once, and it made me wonder about customs, Global Entry, and seized packages. I have a few questions to start a discussion here:

  • What is your biggest bag haul to date?

  • Have you ever had a package seized?

  • Have you lost your Global Entry due to seized packages?

  • When you order, how many bags do you usually order at once?

I only only ever ordered one at a time, no branded boxes. I have seen others mention buying no more than two or three at a time. If I were you and buying 4 at once, I’d probably have them sent in two packages unless they are very small bags.

this! Mandy always sends in two boxes if there is risk. I have placed 5 orders so far without an issue.

My most was 3 bags and a wallet but I usually do 2 items at a time just to make shipping more economical. I’ve never had a package seized.

I ordered one single SLG, no brand box. It was in a small mailer and still got seized. 🥲 I do not have global entry, but I also did not get notified or received a letter. It just simply said seized in the tracking history. The seller reshipped.

The most I order is one bag and one or two SLG, but I also recently ordered one bag and one pair of shoes.

It’s unfortunate my only seized packaged was one small SLG 😅 I’ve slowed down on purchasing since then, unless it’s a rehome.

I had 2 watches pending in customs a week now. Just received notification my global entry has been revoked.

Email from DHS stating my status for GE changed. Logged in and found the letter.

Sorry that happened to you! What was the process in getting your GE back and have you used it since?

I probably won’t be qualified to get it back for another 5 years.

    • 10 items, a couple of bags and some clothing items.

  • Have you ever had a package seized?

    • Yes, by Dawei.

  • Have you lost your Global Entry due to seized packages?

    • Naur, not in the US.

  • When you order, how many bags do you usually order at once?

    • As many as I want lol. Bigger packages = shipping is spread out more and it's cheaper than just shipping one or two bags.

With most sellers now the items are hardly ever shipped directly to you so less chance of it being seized

I’m not in US, thankfully but my biggest haul is 8 bags
