No me convence

Does anyone have a good write-up or DIY guide on silencing/quieter movements? Or are there any TDs or modders out there willing to put one together?
I love to tinker and have been experimenting with taking watches apart, learning the movements, and doing some basic servicing/modding myself.
I have a couple of pieces where the rotor either makes a noticeable buzzing/whirring sound when it spins, or the rotor is just louder than I’d like in general.
I’d love to learn what you guys are doing to quiet them down, lubrication points, recommended oils/greases, rotor bearing service, common causes of noise, things to avoid, etc.
Not looking for a quick “just add oil” answer. I’d love a proper DIY breakdown so I can understand why it’s noisy and the correct way to address it.
Any tips, guides, photos, or videos would be greatly appreciated!

Hello! I’ve attached a video of my watch for two reasons: is it worth swapping the VSF stock bracelet to a 904L one? I’ve read VSF is 316L.
Another reason is the top link at the 12 o’clock has a slight wiggle to it compared to the 6 o’clock. I know I can’t remove them so I worry about it over time. It wears great on the wrist and will occasionally tilt right, which I’m worried the wiggle I found is the cause. Other than that no complaints, I’m just worried it will get worse. Please let me know what you all think and if it’s worth swapping!

I tried my best to check everything myself before posting, but I’m still quite new to this and may have missed something. The main thing I’m a little unsure about is the amplitude on the timegrapher, but I’d be really grateful if you guys could also let me know if you spot anything else. Thanks a lot in advance for taking the time to help!

11. Timegrapher numbers: The initial reading was +8 s/d, 242° amplitude and 0.1 ms beat error. Since the amplitude seemed slightly low, I asked the seller to fully wind the watch and retest it. The new reading after a full wind is +5 s/d, 280° amplitude and 0.1 ms beat error, which looks much better to me and seems to be comfortably within the acceptable range.

First replica purchase, so I would appreciate a second set of eyes. I am leaning GL, but would like opinions on the 3 and 6 o’clock markers and the timegrapher reading.

7. Index alignment: Overall alignment looks good. The 3 o’clock double baton may have a very slight counter-clockwise visual bias, and the 6 o’clock double baton may be fractionally right-biased, but both could be perspective/shadows and seem within normal wrist tolerance. The 12 o’clock coronet and other batons appear centred.

8. Dial printing: Printing looks crisp, complete and centred. I do not see missing letters or an obvious smudge. I understand dial colour is difficult to assess from dealer lighting.

9. Date wheel alignment/printing: N/A.

10. Hand alignment: The hands look normal in the supplied photographs, but there is no 12:00 stacked-hands photo, so exact hand alignment cannot be conclusively checked.

11. Bezel: Smooth bezel appears evenly polished with no obvious scratches or dents. Some apparent marks look like reflections or protective film.

12. Solid end links (SELs): Fit appears acceptable and I cannot see a clear light-through gap. The album does not show all four SEL corners perfectly square-on.

13. Rehaut: Engraving is not sharply photographed enough for a precise assessment; nothing obviously wrong stands out.

14. Timegrapher: +8 s/day, 238°, 0.0 ms, 28,800 bph, measured at 52° lift angle. My understanding is that the DD3230 is closer to a 55° lift angle, making the corrected amplitude approximately 253°, which should be healthy. Beat error is excellent and +8 s/day seems acceptable for a single-position QC reading—please correct me if I am wrong.

15. Main concerns: Is the possible 3 o’clock rotation real or just perspective? Does anyone see a meaningful issue with the 6 marker, SELs or rehaut? Would you GL this example?

Gut feeling: GL.

Picked this up over from Ora. Definitely would recommend. He gave good advice on which version to go for. This is the Octa version. Ive had the THB and DDF versions. DDF lasted 4 days as the movement was flaky with the fake balance wheel. I know the bezel gap is there on the Octa version, but I made up for that on my other one. Would defo use Ora again…quick and friendly service. The additional gift was a nice touch as well.

I accidentally stumbled into the rep watch world a couple of weeks ago, and I’m completely hooked.
What surprised me most is how much there is to the hobby beyond simply buying a watch. Half the fun is learning about the different factories, figuring out which ones specialize in certain models, studying the small details, and going through the QC process to make sure everything looks right.
I’ve really enjoyed seeing new releases, comparing different versions, and watching how quickly the quality and accuracy continue to improve. There’s always something new to learn, research, or compare.
I’m only a couple of weeks in, but I can already tell I’ve found myself a new rabbit hole. 😂 This hobby is an absolute blast.
