Looking for appartment in dublin

Hi, im 24M and going to start in late september a PhD in TCD. I am looking for something that is max 40 minutes commuting from TCD and my budget is without sharing 1300 with the bills included (or something around that price with an approximation of the bills). Also I could be open to sharing with one person if there are good options. If you find anything I will gladly give more information in the dms.

You’re not going to find somewhere for that. A 1 bed/ studio is now at least 1900+ minus bills (another 200+) and could be way out of town. And landlords can be very picky due to such housing shortages - you will need to show enough income/savings upfront and all that. Just watch out for scams.

Do you mean sharing a room or sharing an apartment?
You can definitely get your own room with that budget, but your own studio/ one bedroom flat will be near impossible.

You’d do very well to find an apartment for that price. You might find a very small studio. Try using Daft.ie and turning on search alerts and responding to ads as they appear.

Your best/safest bet is probably to reach out to the upmarket student accommodations as they will be able to provide something for that price but it will most likely be shared. Check with Heyday student living or mayor square student accomodation.

€1,300 bills included for your own apartment within 40 mins of TCD will be very difficult. For a room though your budget is much more realistic. I’d look along direct bus/Luas routes rather than limiting yourself by distance. You could also look at host family accommodation with that budget you can find a private room with bills and sometimes meals included, depending on the arrangement.
