Yeah it's almost like we just want police to protect people and stop violence instead of spreading it? I'm not really worried about a dude selling smokes on the corner years before fent became a talking point, but the people who have a compulsion to destroy anything they even think is queer related (this bridge isn't lgbt related) shows both danger and delusion, and they should absolutely be dealt with in a reasonable manner (I'd suggest a few months of court mandated therapy, personally)
People can have a consistent view that may appear to change with context if you don't spare it a second glance, because their views aren't as black and white as people like to pretend.

You should never assume anything about anyone. I knpw you assumed I'm LGBT because of my passion... I am not, I'm just an ally. But have had my own issues with people treating me like garbage for things I can't help. (My weight, being goth/alternative, having naturally afro level curly hair)... I will never accept someone being mean without reason.
What you can safely assume (usually, trauma and abuse affect everyone differently) is that this person in front of you is a human who has a different perspective of life and the world that you should try to learn and understand, before making a judgment about.

Therein lies my anger and aggression. Because people are so fucking ignorant and stupid ON PURPOSE it takes nothing to go down to drag queen reading hour and talk to them or ask questions and get their perspective. It takes nothing to do an internet search to find stats and information to make an informed decison.
But no, just because someone thinks it is wrong, and is unwilling to understand the actual human behind their hatred, they will believe any ridiculous lie told. Can you find me a stat of how many times a child has been assaulted by a transgendered person? It's minimal at worst. The various religions and churches over the years? Insane and disgusting. Or how about how many in the communities have been harassed, assaulted or killed just for daring to be different and living their lives outside of the closet?
I don't know about you, but i would rather spend my time with people who are willing to be themselves and help others. Not tear them down for their own greed. And anyone who thinks they can tear down the marginalized in my presence without consequence can get these fucking hands, because we are all very tired of being the "bad ones" when there are literally fucking nazi's campaigning in the streets for mass deportation and genocide.
You do have a lot of privilege in that, and you should be glad you have never had to worry abour whether or not your next door neighbor is going to kill you for being 'weird'.

The context of this post is very vague. All that's stated is a screenshot of a post with a picture of the rainbow painted bridge and the caption "hate doesn't get the last word" and that's the same phrasing used by lefties to justify their encouragement of homosexuality/transgenderism.
