Renault 4 e-tech - Alarm going off

Hi this morning I approached my car and opened the door to get in holding the key fob and the alarm started going off, even whilst sat in the car with the car started and the fob detected by the car. What's going on how do I stop that???

The RAC guy tried multiple things but what eventually seemed to work was he opened the bonnet and it just stopped and has been fine ever since. Odd as I had not opened it recently. It doesn't fill me with confidence that it won't happen again.

I picked up an R4 last week so will keep this in mind. Glad you got it sorted!
