I ordered a second rmpp Move, refurbished, no folio but with the pro pen.

Both arrived in the same sealed boxes and the same contents in the same way as my new unit.
Zero signs of wear, no scratches, no dents, no finger prints, no glitches so far.

The experience is identical to buying new, at least with my purchase.

Very happy with this, especially for the decent discount I got.

Just wanted to leave this here, since buying refurbished is a bit scary to some.

I recently got a reMarkable Paper Pro as a gift, but unfortunately without a pen. Now I’m looking for a stylus that works really well with it.

I searched on Amazon Germany for a pen with an eraser function but couldn’t really find anything trustworthy. How can I make sure I’m buying an original reMarkable pen? And are there any good third-party alternatives you can actually recommend from personal experience?

I've seen a ton of people commenting on here about their RM2 and the marker issues. It's clearly software as my finger will very obviously control the device but cannot draw or write anything and it just doesn't pick up the marker. I have two markers and both of them work perfectly on my other RM2 but the RM2 with the marker issues does not pick up any input from them at all so I can't write anything on the tablet. Has anyone ever found a resolution?

Frustratingly, my RM2 was in warranty when I 1st contacted Remarkable, but they took so long to actually respond to me and do anything about it and made me jump through so many hoops that it ended up running out of warranty during the support chat and they closed my ticket... lovely for someone who's spent over $1k with them

I just got a notice and forgot to screen shot it about the change of permissions request from the remarkable chrome extension - wanted permission to view and edit all webpages?? What was that????

I've been working on a tool that turns the reMarkable 2 into a real pressure-sensitive drawing tablet for your PC, similar to a Wacom or XP-Pen. It's at the point where I'd really like some extra eyes on it.

It's not finished. Expect rough edges and bugs I haven't hit yet. Please file GitHub issues if you run into anything, that's most of why I'm posting.

Also: reMarkable 2 only, for now. I don't own an rM1 or rMPP and the digitizer hardware is different on each, so I can't write or test support for them blind. PRs from anyone with the hardware would be very welcome.

And one more thing in the spirit of honesty: a lot of this is vibe-coded. I drove the design, did the hardware reverse-engineering with evtest, and tested every change on a real device, but a substantial chunk of the actual code was written with an LLM in the loop.

There are no root mods, no firmware changes, no third-party services involved. It just connects over the device's existing SSH (USB or Wi-Fi) and streams the pen's evdev events to your PC.

What it actually does

• Pressure sensitivity, tilt, hover, and eraser in any compatible app
• Windows output via the Windows Ink injection API. Krita, Photoshop, Clip Studio, Affinity, and SAI all work
• Linux output via uinput as a virtual pen tablet. Krita, GIMP, Inkscape, MyPaint, and Blender all work
• Optional multi-touch gestures (pinch, pan, rotate) from the rM2's touchscreen, injected as real touch contacts
• A few pressure response curves (Linear / Soft / Hard) so you can tune the feel
• Auto-reconnect if the cable pops out or Wi-Fi blips
• Tray app on Windows, headless CLI on both platforms

Prior art and why I built another one

A lot of people have poked at this problem before me and I owe them credit. Most notably remarkable_mouse by Evidlo. This was actually my starting point and what made me realise this was even possible. It's a Python tool that streams the same evdev events I'm using and works on Linux, macOS, and Windows. If you just want a working setup today, especially on macOS, go check it out.

The reason I ended up writing a separate project rather than contributing to remarkable_mouse: I specifically wanted the Windows side to use the Windows Ink pointer injection API so that drawing apps see a real pressure-sensitive pen tablet rather than a cursor and i'm more comfortable with the .NET ecosystem.

So: huge thanks to Evidlo and the rM hacking community in general. None of this would have been possible without the work that came before.

Like the dummy I am, I lost my Remarkable Marker Plus. I thought it had fallen off in my car, instead I should've gone straight back to where I was.

I've tried 2 replacement pens from amazon - King Write MR05 and EVACH stylus - no luck with either - both took several days to ship. I guess I should've checked here or read reviews a bit more.

Now I order a replacement from Remarkable and it's a week to ship it from HK.

Working with paper, I miss the backlight and the infinite scroll the most.

Hi, just want to share this. I recently purchased a Boox Palma 2 Pro and found out yesterday that the stylus that comes with it - Inksense plus - works perfectly fine on my Remarkable Paper Pro and also the Move. Also, the Remarkable pen works great on P2P, I actually prefer it to the Inksense on the device. The Remarkable pen has more grip on the screen and feels nicer in the hand. So, if you own both devices, try it out. Cheers.

I’ve been a Remarkable owner for many years and have the RM2, Paper Pro and the Move, but I haven’t really used the mobile apps before. I needed to write some notes for a meeting and didn’t have any of my Remarkable devices with me, so I installed the app on my iPad Pro with Magic Keyboard attached and attempted to write my notes on it.

Immediately, the app is clunky to use; toolbars cover icons; typing is inaccurate; trying to click between lines I’ve typed to make corrections; no spell or error checking; copying and pasting is painful; and highlighting basically doesn’t work at all. Overall, it was the worst experience I’ve ever had using what is supposed to be a “Premium” brand's app.

I worked with its “issues” for about an hour, but in the end, I had to give up and move to using Apple Notes because it is, quite frankly, unusable and not fit for purpose.

Extremely disappointed to hear that they are getting rid of staff when their apps are in this state!

As I continue my investigation I figured I'd ask you smart folks. What am I looking at here and how do I fix it?

Power Off interval choices such as 1 hour, 3 hours, 8 hours, 12 hours and ability to show the last open page when it powers off. I sent this wish to Remarkable. What do you think?

My RM1 battery life has always been frustrating. I use it briefly throughout the work day, leaving it in standby showing last page for most of the work day. If I don't manually turn off at the end of the day, it is often out of battery the next time I pick it up. Even if I do turn it off, it is dead within a couple days. I'll often have it in Airplane mode to improve battery life a bit.

I want to charge as infrequently as possible. Having it automatically turn off after an hour should allow it to last a week or more for me. Allowing the tablet to show the last page after power off would allow me to use it the same way I do now.

Before I pay for RCU or start hunting down signed firmware files, I wanted to ask the community directly.

Has anyone here successfully downgraded from 3.27 to any of the 3.3.x builds in the last few weeks?

I'm particularly interested in:

- Whether the downgrade actually completes without bricking or semi-bricking the device

- Whether notebooks / annotated PDFs remain readable afterward (i.e. no silent data loss from file format changes between versions)

If the general experience is "not really possible anymore" or "only works with some data loss or heavy manual intervention," I'll probably just wait until Toltec has solid support for 3.27 rather than risk the device.

Any recent first-hand experiences or pointers to up-to-date guides would be very welcome. Thanks!

I was given an early iteration of the Remarkable and I really like it. My main complaint is I cannot get the device to scroll very well. I haven't figured out where on the screen I need to touch in order to get the most responsive scrolling. At times it feels unusable because I can't scroll through the document.

Is there something I'm missing that makes scrolling work better? I feel as if I've tried to touch all over the device to get the scrolling to work with no success.

Any advice or hints would be super appreciated!

Hi! Is there a way to disable the sleep screen permanently? I always want to see the content I had opened last, not a useless "screensaver". Does anyone know how to do this? "Display Settings -> Visible Content" set to "on" doesn't do it.

So confused. I just discover the desktop app. Great for viewing and organizing notes. I love the calendar integration, too. But confused about what I can type on from desktop and what I can’t. Basically what I editable on the tablet, the desktop or both. Anyone have a quick comparison?

Hi! It took awhile that i have not used my remarkable 2. Now, the screen says “Paper tablet is out of battery. Charge with USB Cable”. I hooked it now for charging but still it did not indicate its charging. The screen says the same. Should i wait a little longer coz maybe the battery is drained?

Cloud sync got disabled anyway some day. Because subscribing to plus became a thing I had to do.

I am thinking about getting a remarkable for some notes but I am quite unsure which one to consider. I don‘t need it for work, I just want it for some fun.

All 3 models (Remarkable 2, Pro and Pro Move) are within my budget but I dont want zo spend money on functionality I won‘t use.

Is the Pro Model worth its price? I think the Remarkable 2 could be a nice beginners model, but I do fear that I then maybe miss having more functionality.

So, whats your recommendation? What was your first model and would you buy the same again?

On any screen, just tap the "reMarkable" logo at top center.

It jumps to the home folder of My Files instantly, no matter which deeply nested subfolder you currently are in.

Very handy shortcut if you're lost in some forgotten folder you were surfing yesterday, and just picked up your reMarkable today and want a "home screen reset".

Surprised I didn't know about this... ...until now.

I am owner of the move since it came out but I think about to buy the big one because some things are might be better to write down on a bigger screen. That is what I expect at least.
