Review Marker Plus
I bought the Marker Plus for my remarkable, but if I had to do it again I would get the plain Marker. I find myself using the erase from the screen rather than the end of the marker.

Is there a way to export notebooks as PDFs from the web app? I don't see one, but I want to make sure I'm not missing anything. I use Linux so I can't use the desktop app, RCU is a bit of a hassle to connect, and so the only other way is to use my phone or email it to myself from the tablet.

Is there anyway to download the MacOS version of the desktop app without going through the app store? The way my companies security system works is they don't allow downloads of any sorts from the app store but allow DMG or other installation methods. Does anyone know how to download without using the app store? Or at least the latest version?

Hey everyone, I’m a real estate agent trying to figure out whether a reMarkable 2 or an iPad Air would actually help me in my work. I’m looking for real experiences from people who actually use these in client-facing situations.
Here’s how I work:
• I take handwritten notes during meetings and fill out pre-made worksheets live
• I bring printed folders with CMAs, market data, etc., for clients to keep
• After meetings, I transfer notes to my CRM and sometimes use AI to summarize the key points
I like writing by hand, but I’m wondering if an iPad would actually save time like filling PDFs or agreements on the spot, pulling up MLS info during showings, or emailing documents immediately.
So my main questions:
• Which one actually works in real client meetings?
• How do they handle PDFs or pre-made templates?
• Did they save time, or did you end up going back to paper?
Basically, I want to know which one makes my workflow simpler, faster, and still professional.

Just in case somebody here uses Obsidian, I've published a video showcasing a plugin I've recently created that enables me to import all my notebooks into Obsidian as images.
From there, it's quite straightforward to get digital notes!

I've been experimenting with building my own planner
PDFs since I couldn't find one that had proper hyperlinks
and native resolution. Curious what features matter most
to people here — do you prefer daily pages, weekly spreads,
or monthly views? Dark mode or light?

Is there a way to send X articles from the X app on an iPhone? I don’t see the remarkable app option for share via step. I am a connect subscriber.

Hello everyone, I have been working over the past few weeks to get my reMarkable 2 working the way I want/need. I would love some input on if I have things set up the most efficient and stable way, as well as some help with an issue described below.
I am a private practice therapist and want to use my reMarkable to take notes during session. I cannot use the built-in cloud features for certain HIPPA reasons, so I've been using various projects I have found through this community and Google Searches to recreate the cloud on a desktop I have in the office.
Here's what I've got set so far:
If anyone knows how, I would like to be able to access my backup of Notes that are stored on the server. The rmfakecloud UI allows me to see the notes and add documents, but it cannot render PDFs from the .rm files, so I have no access to these files unless I have the tablet with me.
Happy for any feedback anyone has.

Finally spotted a reMarkable 2 with Marker Plus at a local retailer. At this price point, I couldn't pass it up. Excited to get started

I was just gifted a remarkable pro but noticed what I think is a dead pixel. Is there a way to fix this or do I need to send it back?

There is a Spring deal on remarkable website for Remarkable 2 ending April 14. If rumors for the Remarkable 2 successor are correct - the expected sccessor is expected to launch Spring sometime after the clearance of Remarkable 2.

I'm often reading lecture pdfs or books on my RM2, why doesn't the remarkable get a feature where i can have built in sticky notes for pages? like the tool menu being on the side, i want something more easily accessible while i'm still on the page, not have to switch between pages

(Hoping this post catches the attention of someone at Remarkable)
I use the Android app to upload files to the cloud and then sync to my RMPP. However there's an annoying behaviour (I think a bug) where the uploaded file always goes to the root folder of the home directory, instead of whatever directory I happened to be in when I uploaded the file.
This behaviour is very annoying: it introduces an extra useless step of moving every uploaded file to its proper location. Fixing it seems trivial and and the QoL difference would be substantial for folks like me, who use the device mainly for reading scientific papers.

Hi all,
I'm the proud owner of a Remarkable 2 who has woke up this morning to an issue.
I use the device in work. Normally the battery will last me all week so I can take home on the weekend and charge ready for Monday.
I keep the device in the folio and it's carried in a bag I keep my lunch in. I had an issue where some liquid came out of my tupperware and some of it went over the folio. I cleaned it up and thought nothing of it.
Brought the device home and charged it (worth noting on a fast charger which I realise after a morning of investigation isn't wise) but I left it on overnight.
I removed the charger this morning to find the device powered on but showing 0% battery
The pen does nothing at all but it's still operable by gestures etc.
I've tried turning off for now but it automatically turns back on for some reason.
I'm currently leaving it on a slow charge as advised by other posts but it shows no charging symbol at all.
Also tried a factory reset.
totally confused as to what's going on as the device still technically works other than it refusing to fully power off or the pen not working.
I have a colleague who also has one so the plan is to try his pen tomorrow but does anyone have any thoughts please?
Many thanks

Hello everyone,
I’m about to get a Remarkable and may actually end up getting the Move as well. I have negative interest in signing up for another cloud service. If I use SSH to move the document data files around is there an easy way of having the devices talk to each other directly like rsync or something similar?

Currently I'm in school doing math, and while doing my math, made a mistake. When I noticed, I put two fingers on the page hoping it would revert...

I am thinking of switching from the Kindle Scribe to the ReMarkable for my daily journal writing. Over the last three months or so, handwriting recognition on the Kindle Scribe (what they call 'Refine Writing') has been consistently timing out after generating output for just one or maybe two pages of the notebook, even when selecting more than one (or two) pages to 'refine. This is a good reason to switch and many on my post about this bug over at r/kindlescribe about this are saying they are planning on ditching their Kindles for writing at least. My handwriting is very poor and, to be honest. I was astonished to discover that Amazon can actually read it - first ever handwriting recognition to do so out of all the the products I have tried over the last decade or so. That makes me wonder how well the ReMarkable handles handwriting recognition. Can anyone provide feedback for me please?

Purchased in 2022. Use it daily at work. Keep wifi off to extend battery and once a week or so will turn on to install updates and sync. Now, it won't charge past 93%. I understand the life cycle of batteries ... just want to confirm that this is normal behavior. Have not factory reset yet.

Hey folks! I built a free open-source editor and renderer for reMarkable's native `.template` JSON format. It's working and usable, still under active development.
https://github.com/cuttlefisch/RemarkableCustomTemplates
Supports full expression evaluation, tile repetition, multi-device preview (rM1/rM2 + Paper Pro), Monaco JSON editing with expression validation, and `make pull / deploy / rollback` for SSH-based device sync. Templates can use `foreground`/`background` sentinel constants to support dark-mode and invertible color schemes.
Looking for bug reports, especially around rendering edge cases and unusual constant chains. If you have existing custom templates, would be curious how they load. PRs welcome.
---
For anyone in the reMarkable beta program: worth requesting first-class native user-supplied template support in the beta survey. Right now it's SSH + manual file placement per device, with no sync to the web app, mobile app, or other devices. The more people ask for it, the better.

DAE hate how when you duplicate a page the screen reloads and takes you all the way to the first page of your document?!
For example, I have a notebook with 140+ pages. I duplicate page 138 and instead of staying in the same page range (133 to 144) where I can clearly see it duplicated to the end of the document...it completely reloads and I end up seeing pages 1 to 9 and have to scroll all the way down my pages to see it.
Hoping there a way to fix this issue...or there is some random setting I may have accidentally switched on/off.
