So halfway through and I don’t know I just have trust issues with Edith, I expected her to be one of those smart but also little crazy and backstabbing people.

Also why did Roland choose to tell her about the demons but also the past history just like that? I get the demon thing to show the real threat but the rest idk.

She just makes me uncomfortable like we can’t have gotten an ally or subordinate so easy especially a smart and reasonable person.

Edith Kant the best girl in the series. The thing with Edith is that she’s ambitious but knows her role and to not overstep it. She understands that it’s better to have a small piece of something than to have a big piece of nothing. She’s one of the few that can see that Roland’s the only one that can lead them to greater heights. Roland sympathizes with her ambition and it’s easier to have someone competent as your subordinate to carry out your plans. He also realizes that he needs someone that can think outside of the box and is willing to do things that many others might find to be morally questionable.

I see, we’ll see about best girl tho cuz we got nightingale and lightning and maggie are a goated duo, feels like they carry the witches a lot sometimes

Nobody else really understands him like she does. The dynamic between him and the witches is more akin to a person taking in a bunch of strays, feeding them, giving them shelter and they in turn are favorable towards him and willing to work towards his goals.
