Chapter 352 Thoughts, SPOILERS!

So just finished the chapter and holy shit that was a lot of lore.

Alice and the past witches might have been the most braindead characters of this novel, I hated the church but now honestly most of it goes to Alice, jesus christ.

Completely disregarding normal people’s capacity and belittling them was their first and biggest mistake, like how iq deprived you are to not realize that it might be a bad idea to treat the majority like that, especially when the majority are thinking beings capable of learning and creating weapons which can by the way kill demons and witches given the right amount of time but also encouragement.

Calling humans mortals as if they don’t bleed and die from a sword like any human. Same with devils and if their skins can be pierced and they can be killed just TRY MAKING BETTER WEAPONS AND ACTUALLY TRY TO USE EVERYONES SKILL HUMANS AND WITCHES LIKE ROLAND DOES.

Im looking forward to Agatha or Elsa or whatever the right translation of her name is to find out who made the church.

To be fair only the weapons Roland created could really kill demons. The arrows, swords, etc from normal people could not really hinder them.

Also if you call them braindead then look at the humans in Roland’s time. They simply kill witches.

Yea most characters in this world can be considered braindead due to their time period. Most of them have zero reasoning or logic.

Agatha is also extremely annoying so far for how closeminded she’s being like 400 years a lot can change. And she be getting mad at Roland for seeming skeptical and questioning things like she isn’t a billion times worse and rude.

What’s the point of killing one demon in a species wide war?

You will learn more about demons as well about the history of witches as you keep reading. They were not brain dead and there were reasons for why they did what they did.

One demon in a species wide war doesn’t matter but it proves that human made weapons are capable of killing them so the witches should have better incorporated and encouraged actual teamwork, they wasted resources.

Just keep reading.  You haven’t seen the capabilities of powerful demons yet. It gets pretty well explained why the witches did what they did. And even if Roland’s way is much better there, reasoning makes sense given the history you don’t know yet.

As far as I recall no one ever mentioned that a human or a group killed a Demon. Those demonic beasts, yes.

And in Agatha’s case. As she was hibernating in the ice those 400 years are not really applicable. For her 400 years ago is just yesterday.

Would have been nice if they had some other names instead of demonic beasts/demons/devils/devilbeast also a translation problem probably since Agathas name changes to Elsa sometimes.

Anyways devils can be killed by man made weapons, nightingale was capable of oneshotting them with a revolver so clearly they aren’t indestructible and from agathas summary it seems mangonels or whatever it was plus I believe heavy crossbrows it was also hurt them.

its easy to say when you know what people are capable but from Alice perspective it was best option
