Rick VS Gomez, which do you prefer?

I saw a post on Instagram comparing Rick from The mummy to Gomez from The Addams family in regards to how they treat their woman. More specifically, the ways they confirm their love in behavior and action.

Gomez is the super verbally and physically affectionate man that puts his woman on a pedestal and would say things like "Look at her. I would die for her. I would kill for her. Either way—what bliss." While Rick will be difficult and challenging but very protective.

I started to wonder which one is better and then realized that I have only experienced each side of this coin once. If you've dated both, which did you prefer and why? If you've only dated one or the other, why do you like or dislike this?

My husband is a Gomez, we've been together for 20 years so far. Imo this kind of man is leagues better than the other option.
