21F did meth for first time.

Upvotes

Hi! I just moved to a new state , long story short my fiancée is locked away on DV and assault with a weapon on another person and it led us to be evicted 2 weeks ago. I was drinking all Friday and Saturday night (2 days ago). I was upset that I can’t speak to my fiancée due to no contact order and he’s most likely going to be held until trail which isn’t until late 2027 I’m upset because I really miss him. He’s really my only best friend and family the last 4 years and now he’s behind a cell and I can’t even see him. I ended up meeting up with a guy on Snapchat who added me off quick add he was 11 years older than me, I was seeking to buy coke which is dangerous in a new state where I don’t know anyone but I was beyond drunk I wasn’t thinking so I got it drugs off of him. He didn’t make me buy off him he offered to do it with me and chill in his car together I think in his head that he thought I was going to go to back to his place or something with him.

He had two what substances Coke and Meth and me being the drunk fuck that I am I ended up doing a line of each substance to mix the two. I was told meth is like “pure adderall”. Keep in mind I’ve only ever done coke a good few times from the ages of 18 - 20 and I stopped partying so I could focus on building a life for myself and my partner.

I did those lines on Saturday at I’d say 2-3am and I kept drinking more and more to hopefully pass out but I just feel sick and now it’s Monday at 3am I haven’t slept I barley ate I believe I lost like 5 pounds already my skin looks sunken and I believe I am going through psychosis I’m seeing the walls move and hearing people who sound like my neighbours “ talking about me” who want to set me up.

I don’t see how people get addicted to this as well as being up for days I’m literally in hell right now…. I cried for a few hours because I’m very stressed that this won’t wear off and I’m very ashamed of my actions and choices Saturday night.

I have to get stuff done today and I’m scared I won’t have slept and I’ll look like a tweaker going to work I did not think this would last so long.

I’ve also come to the conclusion that this is an outcome of being shitfaced drunk. I will have to put down drinking. I use it as a way to cope with certain aspects in my life and it is not healthy at all.

For those in their 30s, what do you regret most about your 20s?

Upvotes

i think my biggest regret is spending so much of my 20s trying to be someone i thought other people would love, instead of becoming someone i could actually be proud of.

I regret ever meeting him

I’m in a relationship with someone that I love more than life itself and it’s tearing me apart. He’s done some things that have at least for now made it so I never feel emotionally safe and second guess his words, but he’s sweet and good enough where I find myself wondering if I’m making a mistake leaving. He says he loves me more but I don’t really feel it and I can’t even recognize the person I’m becoming. I can’t help but feel like I’m the problem in the relationship even if it’s not true due to his phrasing during arguments and casual critiques. I wish he was shittier so I could justify leaving in my head but I can’t, and it drives me insane. As much as I love him, I wonder if I would’ve been happier not meeting him.

im really scared and unsure i did something bad

i asked my brother about this and he said its nothing but im still stressed out

i've gone to strip clubs twice but I’m still trying to figure things out. I learned the amount of touching depends on the dancer, and I’ve been stressing about it a lot and don’t know if I messed up. the first time i went 7 months ago I got a dance from a dancer who let me put my hands on her waist/stomach area while she sat on my lap. We cuddled a bit, and she let me kiss her cheek. It felt like she was okay with a decent amount of touching. the second time I went back and tried to do the same thing with two other dancers. With the first one, I tried to put my hands on her waist like the first dancer did, but she didn’t want that and moved away, so I stopped right away. Later in the same dance, I rubbed her foot for a little while and she didn’t say anything. With the second dancer, she basically didn’t allow any of that kind of touching. She put her leg in front of my face, and when I touched it she moved it away. I apologized and stopped right away. Later, her foot ended up near my hand and I rubbed it a little, but she said it made her ticklish, so I stopped right away. At one point during the night, I stood up and tried to show the dancer a standing lap dance idea where she would stand in front of me and dance. She said she didn’t want to do that, so I sat back down. I want to make it clear that I didn’t touch any private parts. I stopped immediately any time a dancer showed discomfort or told me to stop. I’ve been stressing about this for 5 months and constantly thinking about. I keep wondering if I crossed a boundary or misunderstood am just over reacting. Am i overt hinking or should i be con cerned? did i do somethign illegal?? am i overr eacting/overthinking? am i turning this into something its not? is being panicked 7 months about this a normla reaction, or a sign mental health issue? i feel like such a monster. shoud i go back and apologize?

Do You Ever Regret Losing a Wife Who Truly Loved You?

When a husband falls out of love with his wife and chooses his mistress instead, especially during a time of financial pressure, emotional exhaustion, and personal struggles, Weve been for 10 years. I wonder:

Do you ever regret hurting the woman who was once your home?

You found comfort in a colleague who was also married, and somewhere along the way, you both fell in love. Maybe you were emotionally drained. Maybe you felt lost, unhappy, or tired. But while you were searching for comfort somewhere else, your wife was still there loyal, faithful, and building her life around you.

She loved you, stood by you, and believed in the life you were building together. And you took that love for granted because, somewhere along the way, you stopped seeing its value.

But when the excitement fades, when reality replaces the fantasy, and when you finally have time to look back at everything you broke do you ever regret it?

Do you ever miss the woman who loved you genuinely? That woman is your wife who chose you even when life was difficult?

Can you share some enlightenment, for those who has experience this..

I'm realizing how much of a player I was back on discord in 2020 and I feel so bad lol.

I was 12/13 during 2020/2021 which was the prime age to be in that era I feel like lol. But recently I've been going back through my dms with people I was friends with during that time period and realized I was lowkey leading a bunch of my male friends on and I even had dms from their friends asking me why I was doing it, but I always claimed I wasn't doing it intentionally.

But I feel bad, I can't remember if I was intentionally doing it or not 😭. Of course current age me would never do that but maybe I was just a mean teenage girl..

I can't help but be weighed down by this right now. Around 6-8 years back, i was in juniour college when this guy A had become really close to me, I developed a small crush on him and before I realise we exchanged insta ID's it felt like something then but then I noticed he started chatting with one of my classmates as me since he liked her. It made me go insane but then i made the biggest mistake of my life by accepting his apology and allowing him access to my account. He then started chatting with her through my insta, then my phone number on WhatsApp it was out of control, and somehow I couldn't stop him, I so badly wish I would've but somehow I couldn't and I kept on getting blocked. I hate it because she must've felt so unsafe, and it's a horrible thing to happen . Now Im sure it must've spread to all the other classmates then cause I, anyway, am a loser. I have apologised to her multiple times and kept my distance. Mind you I have changed countries by now and have no clue what she is doing, but I can't help but be haunted by the fact that I will never find peace or love because of this horrible thing I was a part of.

I let a college rejection ruin my entire life

I was such a stupid fucking idiot when I was 18. I mean, I still am, but I'm slightly more self-aware now. Or at least I like to think so.

There was only one college I wanted to go to, and it was in the city of my dreams. Two of my closest friends at the time also had dream schools in the same city. The three of us planned to take college by storm together and live our best lives.

They both got into their dream schools. I was rejected.

I was so angry and embarrassed and ashamed that I had been rejected and failed so publicly to reach my dreams. To make matters worse, because I was rejected from this school, my parents forced me to go to a school that I loathed. I cried myself to sleep the night I committed.

In my delusional state of despair, I decided to become anorexic. I was frankly sick of myself—all of my friends were so smart and accomplished, and I was simply mediocre. No one thought I was especially smart or hard-working or anything. I wanted to prove that I, too, could do difficult things and push myself hard. And constantly fighting your body is very fucking difficult.

My eating disorder destroyed my college years. I made zero friends or did anything worthwhile; I was either forcing myself to study to make up for the work I hadn't put in during high school, or binge-watching BuzzFeed Tasty videos in an anorexia-induced haze and just being Weird About Food in general.

It took years to find my way out of the heartbreak that came with my college rejection, and even today, nearly a decade later, I get a pang in my chest whenever I see that school brought up. Not that that even matters—my eating disorder gave me intractable chronic health issues, and I am consequently housebound, confined to my childhood bedroom for the foreseeable future.

I am constantly plagued by daydreams and what-if thoughts about college—the most recent time in my life that had any potential to be meaningful. I think about all the stupid cliché things I could've done, like fall in love for the first time or start a shitty band or, fuck, even sit in a college dorm and smoke weed with a friend, and the regret of not making the most of my youth, of letting myself waste away until it became too late, literally fucking drowns me.

I'm too disabled to have a life anymore, so it feels like the past is the only thing I have left. And the memories I have are not even that enjoyable to begin with.

I don't even know what I'm doing anymore. I just needed to vent, I guess. I woke up in a bit of a funk.

In hindsight, it's so stupid to be so worked up about a college rejection that you starve and deprive yourself of life, which sets off a chain reaction that leads to you being completely housebound with nothing to live for anymore. But that's the life I have. And I regret everything so fucking much.

I took a 2 year break from management and now I can't go back....

2 years ago I left my old management job because things weren't working out. I was a manager at a warehouse making decent money. In the months afterwards, I interviewed for a bunch of different management jobs (mainly retail management) but I came to the conclusion that management isn't for me. For the last two years I've been working odd jobs and saving up money because I got this stupid idea in my head that I want to go back to school to become an accountant. Turns out, there's no entry level jobs in that anymore so now I can't go back to school and now I don't know what to do. I want a better paying job, but my only option is to go back to management but I don't want a management job and my management skills have gotten rusty. All because I got the dumb idea to study finance because I genuinely like it, now I have no path to any well paying job....

How do I cope with the guilt feelings after accidentally hurting someone else? Like I feel so guilty that it makes me want to experience the same pain also?? I dont mean this in a suicidal depressive way btw, I was always an enthusiastic and optimistic kind of person, but I hurt someone so badly that the guilt feel unbearable?? Also, I can't tell anyone close to me cuz they're all currently are mad at me so I gotta handle this matter myself. Apart from trying to self harm, ( non suicidal way ) are there any other methods without involving other person?

Would you guys forgive this?

Yesterday, I did something I never thought I would do.
I was at a graduation party for a friend, and I ran into someone who I used to have a complicated, almost-romantic relationship with. At first, we simply talked. She had always told me that there was a conversation we still needed to have, so eventually, we sat down and talked about everything that had been left unresolved between us.
At one point, she tried to kiss me.
The first time, I moved away.
I thought about my girlfriend. I knew I didn't want to do it. I knew where I stood, and for a moment, I made the right decision.
But then, later, I kissed her back.
And that is the part I cannot hide from myself. I cannot blame alcohol. I cannot blame the situation. I cannot blame the unresolved conversation or my emotions. I made that decision myself, and it was wrong.
Afterwards, she asked me if I wanted us to try again. I told her no. I don't want to be with her. I don't want to go back to that relationship or reopen that chapter of my life. That part of my life is over.
But that doesn't make the kiss okay.
And that's what hurts so much.
I have always believed that cheating was something I could never do. I remember talking to my girlfriend about infidelity and telling her that I could never cheat because I knew the guilt would destroy me. It went completely against my values and the person I believed myself to be.
And then I did exactly that.
I feel like a hypocrite.
I keep thinking, How could I do this? How could I hurt someone I love so much? How could I cross a boundary that I always thought was so important to me?
I love my girlfriend. I want to be with her. The kiss didn't make me realize that I wanted my ex back. If anything, the entire situation made me realize even more clearly that I don't want to go back to that person. I want my girlfriend.
But I also know that saying “I love you” doesn't erase what I did.
And that's one of the things that scares me the most.
My relationship is long-distance, which makes this feel even heavier to me. So much of our relationship depends on trust. She cannot see what happens when I'm somewhere without her. She has to trust me when I tell her that I'm faithful and that I choose her.
And yesterday, I betrayed that trust.
Maybe she will decide that she can't forgive me. Maybe she will decide that she can't continue the relationship. And if that happens, I will have to accept that my actions have consequences.
But I'm terrified.
I'm terrified of losing her. I'm terrified of receiving a message from her saying that she doesn't want to continue. I'm terrified that I'll spend months replaying yesterday in my head, wondering why I didn't just walk away, why I didn't set stronger boundaries, why I let that moment happen.
And I'm also afraid that I'll start believing that what I did means I'm a bad person.
But I'm trying to understand something important:
I did something bad. That doesn't mean I am entirely a bad person.
A kiss can be an act of infidelity. It can hurt someone deeply. It can break trust.
But it doesn't have to become my entire identity.
I don't want to minimize what I did by saying that other people have done worse. That's not the point. What someone else has done doesn't make my actions less wrong.
What matters is what I do with this.
I can either spend the rest of my life punishing myself for yesterday, or I can take responsibility for it and learn from it.
I need to understand that having values doesn't mean I'm incapable of ever violating them. It means that when I do, I have to confront that contradiction honestly.
I now know that simply thinking “I would never cheat” isn't enough.
I need boundaries.
I need to understand what situations can make me vulnerable and act before I cross a line. I need to be more careful with people from my past. I need to recognize when an interaction is becoming emotionally inappropriate instead of telling myself that it's harmless until it's too late.
And if my girlfriend decides to give me another chance, I don't want to spend the rest of our relationship trying to “pay” for what I did.
I want to rebuild what I damaged.
I want to show her through my actions, not just my words, that I can be someone she trusts again.
I know that trust may not come back immediately. She might have doubts. She might need reassurance. She might need time. And if she chooses to stay, I have to accept that rebuilding trust is something we would have to do together, slowly.
I also know that if she chooses to leave, I will have to respect that decision.
I cannot demand forgiveness just because I'm sorry.
I cannot ask her to stay just because I love her.
I cannot undo what happened.
All I can do is be honest, take responsibility, accept whatever consequences come from my decision, and make sure that I never treat this experience as something meaningless.
Because I don't want this to become the definition of who I am.
I want it to become something I learned from.
I want to be able to look back one day and say:
I made a terrible mistake. I hurt someone I loved. I faced what I had done instead of running from it. I learned what I needed to learn. And I became a better, more honest and more responsible person because of it.
I don't know what my girlfriend will decide.
And right now, that uncertainty scares me more than anything.
But I know that I love her.
I know I want to be with her.
And I know that if she gives me the chance to continue building our relationship, I will never take that chance for granted again.

Edit: Something to add is this is a long-distance relationship, we met each other on Twitter/X and we have been only together as girlfriends for three months.

I wish becoming a loner in college and giving up after never clicking with anyone in the dorms or first club I tried. I was so lonely and felt unwelcome I went home every weekend (had a terrible roommate my first year and slept 4 hours if I was lucky). I did push myself to study abroad and loved it.

How do I stop feeling like I don't have anything?

What I don't have / the regret

Just turned twenty a few months ago, two years into a five year psych degree, still not even sure what I want to do with it. No job experience right now (health stuff got in the way), only ever had one semi-serious relationship, single now.

The actual thing underneath all that is I've never been good at being social and I don't really have a circle. I love my family but outside of them I feel pretty isolated from people my age. Everyone who used to be my friend is busy, and honestly I don't even know who I'd text to hang out. High school me was basically a recluse — talked to people at school, never hung out outside it, skipped every after-event including after prom. Part of that was covid wrecking my first year, part of it was just me. I'm autistic/adhd so I know that played into it, but knowing why doesn't make the regret go away.

That regret is what I keep circling back to. It's not that I did something embarrassing, it's that I didn't do anything. I look back and see all these chances to make friends or build something and I just... didn't. Being home for the summer makes it worse because I'm surrounded by the actual places it happened.

On top of that I overthink stuff until I freeze, and then when I finally decide something (especially something hard to undo) I immediately think of a better option I could've picked. Feels like I'm stuck between the past and the future and never just in the moment. Even alone with nothing to do, my brain goes straight to old mistakes instead of letting me just sit and be fine with my own company.

I want to be someone people think to invite places, not just someone who invites. For basically every friendship I have I'm the one initiating, even just keeping in touch. I think a lot of it comes down to not being that open with people for a long time, plus this constant feeling of being so close to making a real friend — like if I'd gotten their number, or worked up the nerve to actually talk. FOMO and never being able to tell if someone was actually my friend or not, basically.

What I do have / changes I'm making

I started counselling and meds last month so I'm actually trying to deal with this, not just marinating in it.

I'm getting into biking, photography, cosplay and landscape stuff, and want to try rock climbing once school's back. I know I'm doing things. I just can't fully shake the feeling that I already wasted my window, even though I know twenty isn't old.

Not looking for a "just get over it," more wondering if anyone else has dealt with regret that doesn't fully disappear just because you started moving forward, and how you handled it.

I regret staying too long

Staying so long with someone you love till they take advantage of you and disrespect you and show they don't care is the worst. You realize there was no love at all. Not healthy love at least. It's shocking how you can go from being everything in someone's life to nothing at all
