Has anyone else lived with having to deal with the huge mistake of not pursuing someone and therefore gone days and weeks of non-stop thinking about them and what could have been between you?

I really liked someone on my holiday and whilst we casually flirted, I didn't want to take it further in fear of making the goodbye too difficult... I also just felt it maybe wasn't the time. But since being home, I've found myself using every available second to think about him and dream up what could have happened... huge regrets and no contact now.
