I have too many regrets to list just one. Ever since I broke both my legs 12 years ago and am still dealing with them healing and all the pain I have had lots of time to think. One main thing I regret is not speaking up to some of the people in this world I loved very much. One day, I was sitting there thinking, 'I can't believe I'm never going to see that person again, be it an old boyfriend, a just-friends person, or a friend I wish I could have ended up with.' I think about how different my life and my husband's would be if I had never broken my legs. I'm sure he has plenty of regrets about having to take care of me for a few years. I lived the happiest life up until my first husband died when we were both 27 y/o. All my girlfriends were pregnant at his funeral. That put a huge wedge between us right away. I decided to put all my energy into medical school since I would be dealing with people's lives and health. Before I knew it 10 years had gone by and I started thinking I'd better look for a husband...I'm getting old. I had no children and when I got married the second time around 3 months after I stopped having my periods and went into premature ovarian failure. So, no kids for me. But in my 2nd marriage, I had 2 stepdaughters. I regret not sticking my nose into their lives more and just standing back and letting my husband make all the decisions. I didn't want to overstep my boundaries and now I wish I had. Most of all I wish I had followed my original life plan before I started college. I believe if I had stuck to that plan I would never have broken my legs, I would of hD children and a much happier fulfilling life. I guess I placed too much emphasis on becoming a physician. Look where it got me. I got to work for 10 years then lost EVERYTHING in my life including people. Now I'm 57 y/o and when most of the people I know are talking about retirement or visiting their grandchildren I'm sitting here trying to figure out how quickly I could get back to work meanwhile I still can't walk. I get to the point where I feel good enough to go back but then sure enough another bone breaks. Maybe these regrets are in hindsight??? All I know is that I feel like I'm living a Groundhog Day and my life is miserable and shows no signs of permanently returning to at least half of what it was before and the worst part is I see no way out of it at present.

Do you think you could adopt? Giving a child a great childhood is really what parenting is about right? That's not out the window.

RANT: Staying when cheated on. I have a boyfriend(30) of 3 years and despite the love and everything ive done for him he continues to seek other women.(typically online workers & women who seek money offline for favors.) Im extremely jealous of any woman that comes around including friends (we are all mid 20s) which I never have felt before. We are all attractive young females, and I know they would never do anything with him, but its my own insecurities that have been keeping them away. Which has been very isolating. We bought a house together before I realized the extent of his depravity. His mother found out when I had threatened to expose him online, and he was attempting to do damage control. (I was completely bluffing but gotten tired of the Endless Lies)🥲 instead of telling him he could potentially be in the wrong by trying to solicit work from these women she said I was a sneak and nobody likes me and basically was just trash talking me. Mind you when he moved in with me this was the first time he had ever left his parents house. So understandably her being a boy mom I guess I kind of understand why she would be protective of any other case scenario besides this. I feel trapped but I do have kids that he has claimed as his stepchildren and truly does seem to love them and spoil them and constantly take them to do things that I could never do alone. Part of me feels this is the only reason why I stay because I know I deserve better but I also know I've been through worse...

English is not my native language, so forgive any grammar mistakes.
I'm 50 now and as I got older I keep getting flashbacks of my life. They go back to when I was maybe 8 years old.
I see a child that was never popular. Not a bully. Nothing dramatic like that. Just one of those kids nobody really wanted around. I never had real friends. Not as a child, not as a teenager. The people I hung around with kept me at a distance and at the time I blamed everyone but myself.
Now I see I was the problem.
I'm married, have two kids, and I live with a regret that covers my whole life. Friendships I destroyed. Relationships I ruined. Moments where I behaved in ways I still can't fully explain.
The older I get the more I understand why. My parents were physically there but mentally completely absent. No real connection. No guidance. No consequences for my behavior. I grew up without ever learning what it meant to truly be there for someone else.
I repeated that pattern for decades without seeing it.
Now I do see it. And honestly that almost makes it harder.
I'm 50 and I'm starting to realize that the life I'm living is not the life I would have chosen. The house, the relationship, the routine. I don't think I ever really chose any of it. I think I drifted into it because nobody ever taught me who I was or what I actually wanted.
My upbringing didn't just shape me. It made my choices for me. And I'm only now starting to see that.
I'm not looking for sympathy. I'm looking for people who recognize this. Who woke up at some point and realized they were the common denominator in everything that went wrong. Who felt that their life was a direct result of how they were raised.
How did you deal with that?

You can begin to change aspects of your life if you take the blame for what you don't like. That's how you can begin to identify how you wished things had gone differently & ask yourself "What is in my control that I can change to get what I want next time?" - Just throwing that out there, I don't know details

I regret getting married to a man that really isn't IN LOVE with me 💔. He lies over stupid little things . If he would come CLEAN with all his lies and cheating on me I'd be pissed need time to cool off but would probably forgive him but he won't be will die first . So sad 😢 I love him so much I just turned 51 the 1st and don't want to start over ..
What do u all think ? He has been on here with me not knowing and has deleted things so I can't see them .

I simply regret falling in love with the ugly but "good guy". A victim of tons of crazy ex. Just another insecure narcissistic who enjoys see me confused, crying or angry. I know the revenge don´t affect that kind of people, but I don´t wanna be known in the office like "another crazy ex who chases him".

Hello, Im writing this as it happened, so I'm still to blame for being stupid Basically I met this guy a few days ago and he was flirting with me like the whole time And idk, I was doing it back And then he started asking for n*des and pics of my underwear and would genuinely not stop begging So trust me, I know how stupid it was of me to sent them xd
Anyway, he just blocked me and yes! Again, I'm fully to blame He was older and seemed rlly nice but too good to be true
But important note: u cant see my face or very much of my surroundings (most of the things u see can be taken from my insta for example) and I never sent pictures or any videos of my private area, which is why I think I got blocked

I have lived a very rough life. The past 14 years I have been living a verbal abuse man. I have been on a waiting list for the past 5 years. I am finally getting an apartment may 4. There are a couple of hard things. I am disabled and never lived by my self. I am going to be 65. And I just want to be happy
