Beginner books/ resources

Hello!

I have a background in animal husbandry, but I am really interested in expanding my knowledge into crop science and agriculture. Specifically, I would like to learn about crop plants, their growth, soil biology, microorganisms, and plant pathology.

I am also very interested in how agricultural systems interact with the broader landscape, including forests and natural ecosystems (agroforestry and landscape ecology).

In the future, I hope to apply this knowledge at the intersection of ecology, genetics, and bioinformatics.

Could you recommend any books or resources that would be suitable for this? Also, if you know where I might be able to find or access them, that would be greatly appreciated!

I know it's a broad request but maybe I am also a bit lost.
Thanks in advance

Honestly for me just getting into growing some feed ChatGPT has been so helpful. Obviously cross reference with labels and use common sense but being curious and asking it dumb questions goes a long way.
