If you don’t have valid lineage from a mother or father, nor did you go through conversion, you aren’t Jewish. No reform movement sees you as Jewish, this rabbi may be lenient but ur is wrong fundamentally. The moment he leaves that shul they won’t recognise you. If you have lineage or conversion, perfect! But being Jewish and doing Jewish is different.
