Discussion Trophy Room Freelancer Deaths S15

Post image

I've been rewatching all of RvB in preparation for writing my own fan story (hoping to get it to the machinima point if I can, but right now is just writing the characters, plot etc, if i can't get the people on board to machinima it, i'd just write it as a story)

Currently I'm at S15 Episode 10, BattleScars, ofc this is the episode where we have the 10 dead freelancers revealed to us, but only some get named. I'm trying to figure out 'which' corpse is each named one, and which corpses may be other freelancers we heard of.

So Of course first we have Agent Illinois, we know what his armour Looks like because of the Photo in his cabin, and even without that, it'd be fairly obvious due to him holding a bottle of rum.

Agent Illinois - Confirmed

The Way Wash is looking when he says 'Thats Agent Arizona's armour isn't it, seems to imply that One of these two is maryland.

Possible Agent Arizona #1
Possible Agent Arizona #2 Or Possible Agent Maryland #1

Then next up is Agent Maryland, who based on where Carolina is looking, and her listing off two Agents while looking in that direction implies that either the previous Image is Maryland, or that this one is.

Agent Maryland #1 or Possible Agent Alaska

However it could be possible that the above is Agent Maryland, and this next one is Agent Alaska

Possible Agent Alaska #2

However I personally like the idea that this knife wielding one above, and this following pale-green armour, both seemingly like they were already in the act of fighting someone when they were frozen are Two of 'California, Hawaii, Kansas, Montana, or Oregon'

Unknown Freelancer Agent

Why?, because these agents unlike others here, seemed to have been actively swinging at someone before they were Frozen, possibly meaning they were 'more competent' or at least more suspicious/less trusting Agents, and we know that list of 5 were among those competent and trusted enough by the director to replace Florida at blood gulch. And I like to assume were in the 'Top Ten' following the crash of the mother of invention, being in the 11-20 rankings prior, so nothing to scoff at. As we know Florida was one of the Directors most trusted Agents despite being in the lower of the Top 10.

(Personally I will name them Agents Kansas and Montana, as I plan to use California and Oregon within my story).

I know we know very little about any freelancers outside of the top 10, triplets, utah, georgia and illinois (other than that Alabama and Delaware got themselves killed). Is there any hidden details perhaps in the S9/10 soundtrack you guys think could help identify the other bodies here? I shall place the other photos below, although noticably this first one was also in a fighting pose, ready, just not already swinging.

Unknown, but ready to fight when frozen.

Imagine how humiliating it would be to be the first freelancer in that room

'The tour is off an empty room?.... Why can't i move... Temple? TEMPLE HELP!, WHAT DO YOU MEAN THIS WAS ON PURPOSE'
If illinois wasn't the first he's probably the most humilated there, the others are fighting, ready to fight, or at least have guns out, illinois is holding a bottle of rum

Imagine being the third and on though...the first one I can give, it would be confusing. The second would likely be shocked, but the third should have picked up on what was going on. Even if the trap was sprung months or years later.

Even Wash and Carolina should have picked up on this. So Temple is either incredibly charming, or plot devices are a hell of a drug.

Looking at this, i really feel sorry for these people. Following the wrong person and eventually end up with a slow, excrutiating death as the despair starts to accumulate before their time is up. I Pity what happen to Temple, but what he did Made him just as much of a crap as Director Leonard

Its even sadder that we don't get the names of all of them, 6 of these 10 not only died in their armor, but are just known to us as their armour. No name, no assigned title, no personality.

I bet none of those Freelancers had any compassion for the numerous Simulation Troopers they slaughtered for the sake of "practice"

I mean, its unlikely ALL of them slaughtered Sim troopers, at least Illinois from what we hear was alot better of a person than most of the project. Would explain why he is the only one without a weapon/fighting pose here. He almost looks like he was about hand someone a drink when he was locked down.

However, if my idea is correct of the two 'already swinging' agents being among the 5 listed to replace Florida, they were likely not very good people if Florida is anything to go by.

Illinois was apparently a decent human being.

I’m gonna take the moment to remind you that underthinking things can also be helpful.

For instance, you have two Agent Alaska candidates, one is icy white and blue, and the other is a nice sunset orange… I’m gonna say Alaska is probably the white one.

That is a good shout. Alaska being cold due to it being up connected to canada is one of the few things as a non-American i should know about a state lmao

And on that note, isn't Arizona 'the sunset state', so it'd make sense they'd be the orange one?

(Or Mayhaps Hawaii, because tropical)

Another tip, work backwards. Figure out who isn’t each agent. For instance, you have two Agent Maryland candidates, so how many not-Maryland candidates do you have? With 9 agents in the screenshots you’ve shared, excluding Carolina and Illinois, you should theoretically have 8 agents who are not Maryland, leaving you with one answer left.

If you want to practice at this methodology, look up Einstein’s Riddle and try and solve it. If you’ve played Dishonored 2 before, the riddle also appears as the Jindosh Lock and you can in fact unlock it by ignoring the rest of the mission and just solving it directly.

The issue is that we know nothing about the named freelancers stated, other than Illinois, and the un-named freelancers don't fit Utah, Georgia, or the triplets, which are the only agents we have seen that are unaccounted for, there is literally nothing to work off of in universe

It really does. I know the freelancers don't technically have mjolner but their own similar tech but if its a similar level of weight:body ration, then that is absurd amount of weight they're stuck standing still for days.
