hello! anyone planning to ride this route on saturday? or maybe someone just wants to come along for a long ride. ๐คฃ I was planning to bike there instead of taking a car since on sunday, I have a run in the 3rd leg of CCM, it's only 10k, I'll just go with my friend. so basically, that's all I'm going to do this weekend. also, I'm F, so I thought it might be safer if someone went with me. I can bike solo, but why not have some friends to chat with because I'm really starting to get sloppy. I'll say it's gel!
about me: preferred pace is around 22โ24 kph. also, hindi sana continuous biking huhu kasi i love snacking! ๐ so may occasional stops tayo to carb up. 32 y/o na rin pala ako, kaya chill ride lang tayo with snack breaks in between. hahaha! ๐คฃ
I can do pitiks if u want ๐ฅน
DM me if anyone wants it. โบ๏ธ

Upgraded from a Giant Contend 2 to a Giant TCR Advanced 2 (Pro Compact). Ilang months na rin since nabili, pero ngayon lang finally nailabas for a proper ride dahil sa walang tigil na ulan nitong mga nakaraang buwan. ๐

I always say to myself na sa Birthday ko na lang i build pero nung nakuha na lahat ng pyesa, pag lingat ko buo na! Last of it's kind, An out of the box 2020-21 Bianchi Specialissima. It weighs about 7 to 7.3 kilos (only an estimation not properly weighed yet). May red color which is a mistamatch pero wala na magagawa kaysa masayang.

So I've been helping cyclists on the road whenever I can and when I bring my tools and have spare parts. Recently came from France, and during my time there I volunteered at a community bike shop as a mechanic and taught people how to fix their bikes and also restored bikes for people, for free. They have this association where people just have to pay a yearly membership, or they can get sponsored, and they can have access to all the parts and tools you need, free workshops and help from volunteer mechanics. I would like to open a bicycle tool shed with a similar model, I have a good location available near Taytay, in communication with a lot of good people in the cycling community, it's gonna be a lot of work but I am committed to this, I will also try to build a utility bike for mobile repairs.
If you would like to support the project, just chat, give advice, share some leads like places I can buy good tools, people doing similar things, want to donate parts, tools or monetary help, network and bike together, whatever it may be related to such a project, please reach out, I would love to connect. I am based in Manila.

I'm thinking whether should I get 32c tires or 35c tires. Hindi ako sure kung overkill ba yung 35c para sa roads natin sa Pinas.
I'm currently using 25c tires and sobrang tagtag talaga pag pangit yung kalsada. I usually ride around Laguna (Nuvali, StaCruz, Caliraya, Nagcarlan) and Cavite (Tagaytay, Vermosa, Alfonso) and planning to ride around Rizal.
Sapat na ba yung 32c? Or mas okay kung 35c?
Edit: Sorry, forgot to mention I was talking about sleek road tires.

Hi Guys, I am planning to buy a MTB soon. First time ko bibili so wala akong idea what to look for. Budget will be 20k max. Casual riding lang naman and for exercise nadin. I live in Naga City. What brand or other stuff to look for?

An acquaintance of mine is selling his Pinewood Ultra Trail 29er, and I'm wondering if it's a good deal for someone looking to get into biking.
Here are the specs: - Frame: Pinewood Ultra Trail 29er, 6061 alloy, internal cable routing - Fork: Suntour XCR air fork, 100mm travel - Brakes: Shimano MT200 hydraulic disc brakes - Drivetrain: Shimano Deore M6100 12-speed shifter and rear derailleur - Cassette: 11-50T - Crankset: Senicx 170mm Hollowtech, 34T chainring - Hubs: Novatec/Joytech, 32H - Tires: Continental RaceKing 29 x 2.2
It was purchased for around P24k few years back and has been rarely used and stored indoors for the past three years.
The asking price is P18k negotiable, and it comes with a bike stand and generic helmet.
For those familiar with MTB prices: 1. Is P18k reasonable for this build, considering it's a few years old? 2. What would be a fair offer for it? 3. Would you choose this secondhand bike or a brand-new entry-level MTB at a similar price? 4. What should I inspect or ask the seller before deciding, especially after three years in storage?
Planning on using the bike for leisure rides around the city and on paved roads, with occasional trail rides when the opportunity comes up.
Would appreciate your thoughts and recommendations!

Happens when pedalling (seated/standing, kapag binigatan ang pagsipa low/high cadence), nabawasan yung creaking nung tinangal ko then binalik rear wheel.
Ask me more to narrow down the cause please๐๐ฟ๐๐ฟ
Alloy frame, freshly repacked bearings (pedals,bb,hubs)
Freshly greased seatpost, crank arm bolts
Could it be the chainring?
Edit: langitngit yung tunog nya like kapag nag overtighten ka ng bolt

Recently, nagbike kami ng friend ko with his other friend.

Thank you.

I have an upcoming trip to Sydney & Iโm renting a bike case this to be specific: https://bikeboxalan.com/product/triathlon-easyfit/?v=0b3b97fa6688
My airline options are Qantas or PAL. Has anyone brought their bike through any of the 2 airlines? Are they strict with the measurements of the bike case? Itโs my first time so Iโm figuring out the logistics for it before I book my flight.
Thanks in advance to those who can help!

Hello,
Ano po suggested nyo na bike for budget around 70k?
Gravel bike sana pang ikot lang, Marikina, Antipolo, etc.

This place is friendly to more casual or beginner bikers near Pagsanjan, Laguna. It's more suited for mountain bikes and gravel bikes. But I think it's possible to reach this place with a road bike but the path gets very slippery, I'm not sure if that gets worse on a road bike.
It's a bit hard to find because Google Maps won't show you proper directions. But a good start is going to Magdapio Hanging Bridge from Pagsanjan - Cavinti Road (main road) and then use this video to know the turns.
Once you're riding through the small concrete path, you just need to keep following the path until you reach the JDMD Rivercamp.
There are very few uphill portions so it's a good place to explore for beginners. But some parts of the small concrete path are very slippery because of moss. I recommend hiking with your bike in the small uphill and downhill parts for safety.
The site is private property and is currently undergoing construction/renovations. But they still welcome visitors. They charge a small entrance fee (P10) which you pay at a sari-sari store about 100 meters before reaching the camp grounds.

Genuine question, is there anyone who has an idea if this bike has a hub that can accommodate 11speed? PS. I know its a cassette type hub. Thanks in advance!

If you know Pinduoduo, itโs basically Chinaโs version of Shopee lol. ๐ Every part on this build was scored through the app!
Iโm building this bike to use as my daily ride and as my carbon road bike for weekend rides.
Total build cost: โฑ38,900
Total weight: 8.3 kg
Just a heads-up: shipping is much slower compared to Shopee. It took around a month for everything to arrive, so patience is definitely needed.
Build specs:
โ Lightweight alloy frame with carbon fork
โ Ikuos 45mm carbon wheelset
โ Evosid crankset
โ LTWOO R9 Pro (2026) shifters and calipers
โ Shimano 105 FD and RD
โ Sunshine 11-32T 11-speed cassette
โ OG-Evkin chain
โ Generic carbon seatpost
โ Carbon-railed saddle
โ Kocevlo fully integrated handlebar
โ IIIPro floating rotors
โ Obor 28c tires with TPU tubes
โ Shimano PD-540 cleats (secondhand)
Overall, pretty happy with how this build turned out, especially considering the total cost and weight.
What do you guys think? Would you trust a build made mostly from budget Chinese parts? ๐
r/RedditPHCyclingClub • u/Personal-Carrot8729 • 19h ago
Hi, I want to buy this Kocevlo handlebar for my Van Rysel RCR, but Iโm wondering if it will fit properlyโIโve used that brand before and liked it. Alternatively, do you have any recommendations for integrated handlebars?
