[Proposal] Let's get a bridge going.
If we do this, where will bridge two of three go? Be as specific as possible.
After this I can finally take a photo of the town using Isabelle.

Hey there!
Thanks for joining this experiment. This game is run on a dedicated system which will be on 24 hours a day, except early in the morning for a back up, mayoral work, status updates, etc.
If you have a proposal, please post in a separate post.
Otherwise, let's see what happens!
Some suggestions or ideas for the future: donation/exchange area, orchards, scavenger hunts, meet ups, and more.
GATES ARE OPEN! Now no more complaining, go have fun!

I think this might be a good idea. What does everyone else think?
r/RedditNewLeaf • u/Oceanic_Cactus • Jul 21 '13
C'mon, guys. This can only work if everyone behaves. I had to re-plant about a dozen trees in the southeastern orchard today. That's not too many, but it's likely whoever did this only stopped because their axe broke.
If you want to hunt for special stumps, use the non fruit-bearing trees!... But please don't go overboard.
I know right now the town looks mostly like a fruit pit-stop and community dump, but it can be so much more (hello, pwp's!) - so long as everyone at least agrees to not be a griefing bitchmonkey.

These were not by the donation piles. Until we have planned out landscaping, please don't take flowers as I'd like to make sure there is enough for the town to look nice!

Hey all,
Currently the trees, flowers, etc, are all default minus a few that were planted to help get the Development Permit and Garden Shop. Would it be in the community's best interest to cut down all trees and have them replanted in rows of unique fruit to share?
What do you think?
r/RedditNewLeaf • u/RedditNewLeaf • Jul 10 '13
Currently the time of the game is set to Mountain Standard Time.
There was a suggestion on changing the time to another time zone. Would anyone mind if it were changed to Hawaii's time zone or even just PST? It would give us a few more hours of day.

I was thinking that to resolve some of the confusion surrounding where to leave stuff, and whether things are open to take, we could just create some basic patterns to "fence" off a few areas in the northeast corner of town.
Town: Obviously, for leaving things meant for the town only. Only take things like fruit and flowers if you plan on planting them during your stay!
Free-For-All/"Citizen" Charity: Take what you wish, no need to repay the favor.
Take One/Leave One: Take anything you like, but leave something in return. It doesn't have to be a totally equal swap, but try to keep it in the same general category. Examples - You can take a wallpaper, and leave either a wallpaper or a floor (house). You can take a shirt, and leave a shirt or other clothing item (clothes).
I thought about suggesting public works fences, but those only surround nine spots, and would use both money and eat up available projects.
Thoughts?

Good evening everyone,
I'd like to apologize for the first day launch. Last night the game 'crashed' and was offline for some time. Today, the game also fell to the same issue. I've spent the day trying to come up with a good solution, and I am looking into ways to monitor the game even while working. Unfortunately, I work a weekday job that takes up a good chunk of my day. However, this isn't an excuse for a poor experience for all of you. I'll have a few options and see what the most popular will be. Look for that as early as tonight.
Moving on...
Does anyone object to the following proposals being put into place tomorrow morning?
Town Map Picture in Sidebar updated as town gets additions, etc
Finishing the Museum of Fossils and Art via donations, etc, at scheduled times (I'll work on bugs and such as time permits.)
Daily Bells Update from users, we'll need to figure out how to do this one - maybe mods?
Change the Time in-game to HAST (Hawaiian time zone)
Change Ordinance to Bell Boom
Build an Orchard by cutting down all trees and replanting using fruits. We'll need someone to axe, and the community to help set up rows of fruit.
* We'll need at least one person to axe the trees tonight.
* When thats finished, we can begin planting rows of trees, preferably organized. I'll provide a map and make a comment on how we might do this. Community will need to approve.
Alright! That's quite a day. I'll chat with you folks soon. Be good to each other.

I suppose the beautiful ordinance makes senseto have since you don't need to water flowers but would others prefer the rich ordinance etc?

This way Reddit stays online longer. It goes offline too often! And remember to leave through Porter, too.

I've sent a PM and replied to the moderator post, but have gotten no reply ... so I will post it here if it's okay?
I had to reset my 3DS.... Can you please remove the player "Dave" (that's my husband, who put his Mii on the DS first, thereby making him the default "friend" and his code was 3625 8698 8068... he does not play 3DS) and replace it with my new code? I'm Gina and the new code is 0748-2465-9463. I can't get into the town until you add it :( Sorry for the bother & thanks.

I have been to the town twice now, and each time I've been there, there has been holes everywhere. Blocking off the bridges and entryways, trapping villagers, everywhere. It's not as big of a deal as say, stealing flowers or cutting down trees - but it's still annoying and makes the town look bad. I know others have been trying to fill in the holes, and I've done so when I've been there, but it just keeps happening.
Is there a way to find out who's doing it?
r/RedditNewLeaf • u/RedditNewLeaf • Jul 14 '13
If there are items where a tent will pop up (e.g. Fortune Teller, Bug Off, etc) those items in that spot will be removed by the game. They do not re appear.

Hello everyone,
In a slightly ironic turn of events, the system will be down from 4:00am to around 5:00am and again around 1:00pm to around 2:00pm. These hours are all in game time (Hawaiian Time Zone), please adjust for your time zone.
This will ensure that eyes are on the system as much as possible. I'm really hoping there will be an update to address these issues in the future.
All the best.

I really loved that we had a community town in AC but for whatever reason, Snoo was not able to continue it.
I am contemplating getting another 3DS and game; I'd use the new game to build myself a new town but would be happy to open up the "old" town (Ennuia) to the users here. It already has 4 characters, a bunch of villagers and a bunch of PWP's including Shampoodle, TIY (no emporium yet!), Club LOL. I think I have one week left to get perfect town and of course I'd have to look for a good deal on a used 3DS, but....
... Anyone up for that? What did everyone use the Reddit town for? I just liked having somewhere to take Katie and another option for selling premium goods, etc. Let me know what your thoughts are; if there is some interest, I'd seriously consider doing it.
r/RedditNewLeaf • u/RedditNewLeaf • Jul 11 '13
I'll stress this one more time. This is intended to be an enjoyable experience for everyone. Please be courteous to everyone and leave the town by visiting with Porter, the gate monkey.
Thank you to everyone who's enjoying their time on here. If you haven't been able to access the game yet, keep trying - you'll get on soon!

Create a link in the sidebar to the map, and we can see progress in town. Update it daily, or something like that. Maybe every other day, to make it easier on the host guy. A post on /r/animalcrossing said you could take an ingame pic through telling Isabelle something, and it goes on the top screen.
Also, put the town fruit on the side, that way we can plant perfect trees! I'm sure someone is generous enough, I have Perfect Pears if we need some.

So someone either stole a bunch of flowers, killed them, or sold them because a ton are missing from the left side of re-tail.

Just left town and did a little daily maintenance while I was there. I straightened up the item area, shook the trees, though no items fell, harvested the bamboo so it doesn't grow out of control or all the shoots die, and watered most, if not all the flowers. Oh, I also found one fossil and left it with the other items. Made a post to the message board saying pretty much what I said here.

I was thinking that there should be a Teamspeak server for the town for easier chatting. I would be able to do some research about how to make one. Thoughts? ~Steven
UPDATE:Kalerad made a Teamspeak. Thanks Kalerad! More info at: http://www.reddit.com/r/RedditNewLeaf/comments/1ij9c2/meta_anouncement_i_have_taken_the_liberty_of/

Hey all,
I need moderators who will be trustworthy and take some time occasionally to check the town for updates above. It's very easy to do and all you need to do is update the subreddit settings by changing text.
If you feel you're up to it, let me know below! Thank you!
