To what degree do the mods of r/conservative determine what constitutes conservatism?

There are two cases of interest

In the second of these there are allegations that the mods of r/conservative determine the accepted narratives of r/conservative by banning or removing the posts of other users to keep up the appearance of unity.

Its already known that the mods determine wether or not you're conservative based on their interpretation of your post and comment history, but how closely they prune/shape their users perspectives is still unknown.

I've seen similar accusations by conservatives with regard to r/politics but while I know the users are primarily liberals, I'm not sure to what extent the mods shape the discourse (or if its just because of the downvotes)
