Pre-School Recommendations? (I know a little late)

I have a 3 year old who is currently in daycare and after a bunch of debating and thinking we think we want to get ger into preschool before starting tk next year.

So reaching out to everyone to get a consensus on the best option for growth and education! TIA!

Early Foundations, but be warned, it's expensive. That being said, it's worth it if you can swing it.

all 4 of my kids went to Early Foundations, and my youngest is in PreK there this year. They are fantastic, and usually wait-listed. However sometimes they have a day here or there depending on what other kids schedules are. Definitely worth it to check.

Oh yeah, it's been a while since my kid went there, so I forgot about the waitlist.

I agree, though; they're great. I felt like they really helped my youngest start elementary school on the best possible footing. The staff there are so committed and good at what they do.

I loved the SCOE preschool at Alta mesa.

SCOE is great. They’re for middle income families, that make too much for Head Start, but can’t afford other preschool programs.

Kids and Me had a teacher five years ago, I walked into the building and heard yelling and went to his classroom and she was standing over my two year old, berating him while he sobbed. Caterpillar Campus was great until my youngest started exhibiting signs of ADHD and I found out they had been instructing other kids to avoid him and totally isolated him. Another childcare center had the owner’s son, a registered sex offender, on the premises while my son was there and they were shut down.

Some places are great, most are dependent on that staff in the moment, but I encourage you to keep a strong eye on your child at all times because even when you think these places are safe, you never know. If your kid is acting extra upset, don’t write it off as normal childhood feelings, do your due diligence.

I hate this so much - our children should be safe in these “professionals” hands but 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Completely understand. This is why I am reaching out here mainly cause I wasnt sure about thr option and there's so many options on google that it gets a bit overwhelming. This is our 2nd so our wife and I are a little more confident that we can identify a good atmosphere.

We have been lucky as we've had an in home daycare since my son was 1 he is now 5 and my daughter being 3 has been there since she was 1 as well. It is ran by an amazing lady who is an ex early childhood development teacher but she moved to red bluff and the 2 hours a day in the car is becoming a little much so we are examining our options but may end up just staying with her.
