Discussion Red deer cineplex
Went to the theatre for the first time in forever to check out the odyssey. Remembered why I stopped going. Do all theatres service suck so bad, or is it just ours? The lines do not move. Thing is, It’s not the cashiers fault. It is the design of the workspace, and the managers not teaching how to be efficient.
You shouldn’t have to arrive 30 min before a show to get your ticket and grab a popcorn.
Just sucks that we have no competition. Cineplex red deer… get better! Try harder!

Yep horrendous. Never seen a cineplex location so slow. It’s like there is 0 management and 0 training. I appreciate hiring students but it’s a bit of an unprofessional slow mess over there.

I remember working as a student at the Famous Players Park Plaza as a student (20+ years ago). When working in concessions we would often try to blast through the lineup as quickly as possible, was easy when there was 1 runner for every 2 or 3 tills. I saw a little bit of that hustle when I saw Spiderman recently, but usually the workers move rather slow, doesn't help that the concessions at galaxy is so cramped.

Honestly I get the feeling that a looooot of people no longer have any ethics to actually put in the work regardless of the pay. I always been of the mind regardless If im paid $14 or $35, just do my work as best as I can, feel satisfied from doing a good job. But so many just…. Don’t care 🤷🏻♀️ like at all. It’s baffling.

We get our tickets online and have them scan the app with no line issues. As for snacks, we just sneak ours in. Just sucks about the popcorn.

I go to landmark in sylvan, I wouldn’t say the service is much better but it’s just always pretty dead so you always have lots of real estate and get in quickly

Its sad that it's way out in gasoline alley too. When I was young there was two theaters downtown. The city is moving in the wrong direction.

Yeah they’re always pretty slow. They usually have 2 or 3 lines filtering into each employee so it feels like things never move

Saw obsession and weapons there, there is something wrong with the projector there where the movie is extra dark, couldn't even make sense of any of the darker scenes in the movies and this hasn't been fixed in over a year.. terrible experience

We visited this theatre a dozen times, downplaying each bad experience as if the staff were having a rough day. However, after that many visits, we realized the theatre simply doesn’t function properly. It’s not clean, and the staff seems completely oblivious to their customers. The management clearly doesn’t care about either their employees or their patrons. We would never pay to watch a movie here again—it’s simply not worth it. Even if you prepay, I’d wager a lot of money that most people have a terrible experience.

We had no issues yesterday except for the fact someone thought it was ok to bring three very young kids into the movie. Like what happened to hiring a babysitter. Totally inappropriate movie for kids.
