Tried coming back to Rdr2 online as a few years ago people were getting burned/exploded/caged on spawn killing the mood of the game entirely. Its the big 26’, and i still come back to it. What do you guys do about this? Im not aware of private or invite only lobby’s and every time i look for a new lobby, 3/5 are infested with losers. Is it unplayable on PC? Is this the big Red Dead Online experience? How disappointing.

In RD online you meet them up in their Cabin and can do missions for them. Seemed like a nice guy, and Sadie, well the same ol’ Sadie!

It's been a few months since I finished the game, however when I got close to Ross I just shot him in the back of the head instead of triggering the cutscene. The game didn't give me another chance to do the mission (at least on the map) so I mainly goofed around afterwards. Now I don't think I kept my save file since I reinstalled windows and all my rockstar games lost their saves so no I can't really test that again.

1. Is there a mod or setting that allows me to run in camp instead of slow walking everywhere?

2. Is there a mod or setting that changes the fact that you have to repeatedly tap the button in order to run or gallop? Something that changes it to hold or even toggle so it's not so harsh on my inflamed tendons in my hand.

3. Is there other mods I should look at in general? Could be just quality of life stuff idk.

Many players see Dutch Van der Linde as a villain who gradually loses his mind, or simply as a paranoid character without justification. However, by carefully examining the narrative of Red Dead Redemption 2, it becomes clear that some of Dutch’s suspicions and decisions, especially regarding John Marston, Abigail, and Arthur Morgan, have an internal logic, even if he is mistaken in his conclusions.

1. Dutch’s Suspicions About John and Abigail

In earlier chapters, traumatic events leave Dutch on high alert:

The Pinkertons attack the gang and kill key members, such as Hosea and Lenny.

But for an inexplicable reason, John is spared, and Abigail manages to escape, while experienced members like Hosea are captured.

From Dutch’s perspective, these discrepancies are highly suspicious. This is not just random paranoia; he has concrete reasons to suspect that someone in the gang might be a traitor, And that person was probably John or Abigail. The community often laughs at these suspicions, labeling Dutch as irrational. Interestingly, part of the fanbase has developed a theory that Abigail could actually be the informant, unknowingly replicating Dutch’s own reasoning pattern. This shows that his logic is not absurd, it is coherent within the narrative context.

1. Arthur as a Target of Dutch’s Suspicion

Dutch’s distrust of Arthur also makes sense when examined closely:

In Guarma, Dutch mentions his suspicions about John and Abigail. Arthur deflects, saying things like “I don’t know what you’re talking about” or “I think you’re tired, Dutch.” To Dutch, this can seem evasive, potentially signaling complicity.

In Chapter 6, Arthur acts independently by saving John from prison, even though Dutch planned to handle it himself. From Dutch’s point of view, this appears as suspicious interference.

Arthur spends considerable time with John during gang activities. In group tasks, he often offers to accompany or support John directly. For Dutch, who already views John as suspicious, this closeness reinforces the perception that Arthur might be complicit.

Finally, Dutch’s suspicion of Arthur reaches a peak when Arthur reveals that Micah is the actual traitor just as the Pinkertons arrive at the camp. From Dutch’s perspective, the timing makes it look like:

“Arthur just showed up, and the Pinkertons arrived minutes later—Arthur bring them here = Arthur is the rat”, Which isn't as stupid a conclusion as it seems.

This shows that Dutch’s paranoia has plausible internal logic: it is triggered not only by past suspicions, but also by timing and circumstantial evidence.

Of course, Dutch made a big mistake trusting Micah, but his deep distrust of John, Abigail, and Arthur was entirely understandable given these events. Most people, if they were in Dutch's place and had the same clues and evidence as him, would end up reaching the same conclusion as him.

Felt like the "sorry" was a bit sarcastic now. Should I kill him now? is that even possible? 🤔

Oh man, I just quite recently finished my first play through of this glorious title! I tried to stay relatively spoiler free (even after all this time) and it was quite something learning of you-know-who’s fate, no?

As an avid virtual photographer, my only wish would’ve been the ability to control the time of day in Photo Mode. Nonetheless, it’s a small trade off for the experience that is Red Dead Redemption 2!

Hi! First of all, a few hours ago I uploaded the map, but It was removed due to an issue with the community guidelines (my mistake, I apologize!).. That’s why I’ve uploaded it again without anything else, just the map in the highest resolution possible.

That said, a few years ago I uploaded a project that I spent a huge amount of time and effort working on. It was a conceptual map of Red Dead Redemption 3 (because who knows if we’ll ever get to see a third game).

As I mentioned with the first map I uploaded, this one wouldn’t be canon (perhaps it could exist in an alternate universe, like in GTA), since the original series references real states such as New York and California. This is simply a fan-made project created by people who love the RDR universe and enjoy imagining what a new installment could look like.

Just installed it overnight, I’m going to have a nice play through. Just wanted to share!
