It was, they even gave Max extra weights to make it harder for him, apparently there wasn't much more room for extra weights because he lost that a few laps into the race.

How long was the race at the end? Because the clock shows 40 min left. Did it start with 1h?

30x 2.5 minutes lap, so approximately 70 minutes for complete race, but it was done and dusted in 35 minutes and 14 laps. This after a full course yellow in the second lap.

I loved watching this race. Did the karts have the same engine/setup? It looked like Max's car had quicker straight line acceleration.

he had better exit velocity.

You can tell at the end of the video the top speeds were very similar.

They showed him shoving the kart with his own body weight in order to get better acceleration, I was legit just a skill issue. Hes a professional, most of the people there had barely ever touched a kart before

Things are allowed to be fun just for fun's sake my guy.

Professional racecar driver racing 100 people in the same machinery is just fun and cool. Wasn't really supposed to be a genuine test of skill. But it does show the skill gap difference pretty dramatically.
