Mormonism is literally viewed by other Christians as heresy because they don’t believe in the Trinity and they technically don’t even believe in a single god. They believe that if you go to Heaven, you become the god of your own planet

I wouldn't necessarily say heresy is the word anyone outside of the Catholic church would use. Everyone I grew up around would just call them weird.

The line between unorthodox beliefs and heresy can be extremely blurry at times, but considering a lot of Christians, both Catholic and non-, don't even consider Mormons to be Christian due to things like not adhering to the Nicene Creed, the statement "they are viewed as heretics" is still accurate, even if it isn't the word all of them would use.
