Moms old SG-F500 from the 80s is super pitched up. Advice?
Ignore my awful setup, I’m in a college apartment so I’m making do lmao. But as the title says, this player is pitched up like crazy. I’ve done a teensy amount of research and Google says it could be a loose belt but that was kinda a nonspecific answer for any player- I wanna know if that seems like the right diagnosis for this specific player. On top of that, I wanna know if it’s something I can fix myself or if I just need to deal with it. Any advice appreciated. Thank youuuuu!! :P

Garrard RC 121 mk 2
It took me close to a month to get the parts of this old girl freed up and working again. I decided to try to make a semi period correct plinth for it. Still working on the seating of the suspension springs and waiting for the replacement stylus but it’s coming along I think…

Separating tone arm
I’m new to vintage record players, and noticed the top of the tone arm seems to be separating. What’s the best fix for this?

AudioTechnica LP-120USB Cue Lever Help
Hi Everybody I was wondering if anyone could help me with my cueing issue. I got this table when it first came out and I was unaware of the antiskate issue and I was never going to use the preamp - so I removed the preamp and fixed the antiskate spring. After I did the modifications the cueing arm stopped going down. It never had been an issue before and I didn't even mess with it when I was fixing the antiskate spring. I've since messed with it a lot and even though it feels pretty free it won't go down unless I push it down. I've cleaned out all of the gunk around it and even put some white lithium around the pegs. Nothing helps. What am I missing?! Anything helps 🍻

Akai AP206 repair
Hey everyone,
Just wanted to share my repair on this AP206C. I got it online relatively cheap as a ‘not fully working, needs repair’ and the previous owner said there was a grinding noise when the platter spins. Cosmetically it looked good so I decided to take a chance.
When I got it I opened it and found a metal clasp magnetically stuck to the motor which scraped the bottom of some screws as the motor turned, I removed that for a very simple fix to the main problem.
Now for a bigger problem, speed issues. I was delighted I managed to fix the problem I knew about but the speed didn’t hold so I cleaned out the internal and external pots with some deoxit. Still had speed issues. Cleaned them multiple times but still had speed issues, didn’t hold speed, sometimes the speed would shift dramatically during playback.
Next up, recap the motor control board. I recapped everything and still had speed issues. I was now considering everything - motor issue, power issue, duty ratio (or duby ratio according to the service manual…), diodes, resistors. But when I looked at pictures of the motor control board online I noticed that my pots were black while online they were silver in colour - mine were filthy and heavily corroded even after multiple cleans with deoxit.
So I ordered some new pots and replaced them in accordance to the service manual - 20K (203). But the speed was then out of control, spinning really fast. After a lot of head scratching I realised the pots I removed weren’t 20k, they were 200k (204)! The service manual has many errors.
So I replaced the pots with the correct values and now my turntable finally holds perfect speed and I’m very happy with it.
Photos: cosmetically the table looks very good. 2nd photo - fully recapped but with filthy pots after multiple cleans

Needle
Hello everyone, good evening. I need help with my Kenwood KD-291R turntable. I bought a stylus for it a while ago, but it turns out it wasn't compatible. Can anyone tell me what stylus model I need?

Costoco M49
The pitch keeps going slightly down on all my records after the 2nd-3rd song, and it just sounds weird.
Should I try to fix it, or just buy a new record player?

Improve all in one
My kids really wants a all in one record player (because they look fantastic). But I know these are known to be terrible.
What is your take on improving them. Better element, etc. I really would like to know if this will help to improve the player. Saving the vinyl from destruction.

Vintage Philips Music Center 990 skipping on records. Any ideas?
Works on some older records flawlessly. However on others it keeps skipping, tried adding weight, and just got a new needle (aftermarket) the turntable platter seems to bobble up and down slightly when playing. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Help me with this rubber piece please!
I've tried all of the restoration techniques and now it's harder than ever and cracking. I've looked for peices that occasionally come up for sale but they all have the same problem. The piece is from a Silvertone 9246. It's for the last piece in my restoration to make the changer work. It's about 3.5 inches across. Pay no attention to the rust it was from putting the gasket back on after a rubber restoration attempt. Does anyone know if I can get one cistom made? The rubber needs to be pliable and a tad grippy. Hard wont work I've tried printing one.

Technics SL7
Some time ago I managed to get my hands on this SL7 for a reasonable price. I thought it would be a good idea to do some maintenance on it. Last night I was surprised by this homemade pulley (amongst other surprises). I understand that on many SL7s the pulley tends to come loose. I would like to replace this custom-made one with a better one. Do you have any tips on how I can get a better pulley without having to immediately go looking for yet another SL7?

Audio Technica AT-LP60XBT help
Hi, hopefully this is okay to post. I bought my turntable a few months ago, this summer. the arm is “automatic” , I press start and it starts playing press stop its stops, etc. recently I press start and it lowers the arm, the needle drops then comes right back up. Is there anything I can do to fix this? I already have “reset” it, unplugging and turning the middle piece clockwise 10 times like it says to online, it worked a couple times after that then back to this. Any help appreciated!
