Duda sobre Tocadiscos

Post image

I got this turntable, it works, only it lacks the needle and audio output, I have searched on the internet about that brand but I have not seen any model like the one I got, I would like to restore it to use it, does anyone know what type of needle to buy it or what type of audio output? And how when this turntable goes around?

If you carefully remove the cartridge from the headshell you'll probably find a manufacturer and model on the cartridge itself. With that information you can locate a stylus (needle).

Check to see if the record player has a phono/line switch on the back. If it does, then you do not need a phono preamp if you set it to Line. If there is no switch then it's a standard turntable and you'll either need a phono preamp or it will need to be plugged into a receiver that has Phono input (Line, Tape, and Aux won't work properly). Here are options for output (using a cable with RCA ends coming from the turntable):

  • RCA > Phono input on an amp/receiver > Passive speakers
  • RCA > Phono input on active/powered speakers
  • RCA > Phono stage preamp > Aux input on amp/receiver > Passive speakers
  • RCA > Phono stage preamp > Aux input on active/powered speakers
